VTech Catch Me Kitty, Pink

A very cute toy for the price!I was apprehensive buying it because I thought the wheels would get stuck like most moving/mobile toys. This toy did not get stuck often and was very hardy.It doesn't work on the carpet, but it does great on both tile and hardwood flooring.I especially liked that it turned a lot which made it more fun- it almost seemed like it has a sensor to detect obstructions (but I doubt it).It was a hit with both my friend and I's babies and the adults as well. It is just so cute not to watch and the noises are thankfully not obnoxious.

My eight month old loves her kitty! She's just starting to crawl and I credit this toy. It has sensors in both the front and back. When the kitty senses movement from behind, it rolls forward. When it senses a barrier in front, it turns to avoid like a Rumba. It has a giggle and jingle that sings "Catch me, catch me if you can, I'm a kitty that likes to play, catch me, catch me, you'll have fun, ready, set, come on, lets run" (And it won't let you forget it!) Also runs perfectly on carpet.

I got this for my 2 year old's birthday because she loves kitties so much but I'm allergic. I figured this might be fun for her to pretend she has a pet! It's a cute little toy and seems to work well. It says to chase it/get it and if you stand in front or behind it, it will move away from you. Same with furniture and walls. We have a couple of thick rugs that it often gets stuck on so you just have to watch it when it's on so it doesn't run the battery down while stuck. My 2 year old is terrified of it, though, so I've had to hide it. I'm going to keep it and bring it out in a few months to see if she's outgrown her fear of the "kitty robot". I will admit it's hilariously adorable how terrified she is, and it's a guilty pleasure for me to scare her with it because then she will practically climb up me and cling onto me - something she never really does anymore.

This is an amazing gift for a 12 month old. Even the older kids (3 and 4 yr olds) loved it! It definitely will keep them entertained for a lot longer than most toys. I love how it backs up if it gets in a corner and when you get close it rolls forward but not too fast where a crawling child can't get to it. It's not too loud and very user friendly. Christmas is coming up and I definitely recommend this product.

1) My niece was 6 months when I gave her this gift for Christmas and she was just starting to scoot around and it was perfect for her.2) However the first one I received didn't work properly, only spun around in circles, but I contacted amazon and they refunded me and I ordered a new one and they gave me fast shipping for free and the new one worked and the new one works wonderful.

I bought this for my very active 16 month old granddaughter. It was great fun for about three hours. I had seen a video of another child chasing one and thought it was so cute. Unfortunately, it was terrible over rugs, did not back up easily when it hit furniture, and just served no purpose. Its recording now seems to get hung up immediately and it goes nowhere. This was a great disappointment!

The concept is good. However, I assume this product can only be used on a very flat surface such as hardwood. It does not function properly on a thin rug, carpet or any floor covered with floor mats. We used it on a hardwood covered by floor mats (used for extra safety for the baby) and this toy struggled to make a turn, and it made a noise doing that, which freaked the baby/toddler out. I think they have to redesign the tiny wheels to make it more compatible with more surfaces. Also, the sensors seemed to not work as all times, sometimes they only sensed the object in a very close proximity, almost touching the toys. It's supposed to start moving away from at least a short distance from the baby/toddler. Otherwise it can be caught so easily, and that will defeat the whole purpose of Catch me If You Can motto uttered by the toy! So we had to return it, since it was not doing the job it was supposed or advertised to do. I hop they redesign the toy and fix the issues.

Omgosh this little kitten is too cute! My 16m old got it for Christmas and LOVED it! It plays music and talks and best of all rolls around to be chased! She thought this was hilarious! Then when caught it says oh you got me let’s try again! She would put it down and start over! Too cute!
