My high school age son recently injured his knee. He needed to ice it frequently, even at school. I sent a few of these to school with him and they worked out great. He said they were super easy to use and was not embarrassed by icing. They are a larger size so it fit the knee nicely. Each cold pack lasted about 2 hours. They did not activate in his backpack, as I worried they would be being shaken up in there. He was able to easily activate them and use them with no interference in his day. Then we didn't have to rely on the school to get him ice packs. The price was great too! Review: Very handy - These come in handy when I over heat. They keep chilled shorter than an ice pack from the freezer but when I need one while I am out and about, this has been a saver. I only had one issue when one was stored at the bottom of my bag for a couple of weeks. I activated it and not long into it on me, it started leaking. So I have been more mindful that the plastic doesn't get moved around in my bag and also keep an air tight zip lock bag to put them in after they are activated for the just in case.

Really works for reducing swelling
I’m elderly and I injured my right knee with fall in the dining room. That’s when I discovered the ice maker wasn’t working. These instant cold packs helped me reduce the swelling and pain better than anything else. I highly recommend them.
