High quality!
Love this company and their products. 187 pads are way too big. Like these a lot better and now have them on my kid. Way Way WAAAY better than the cheap Walmart ones.

Fits Womens 16
As a middle aged woman learning to longboard it was difficult finding pads that would fit somewhat thick thighs (above knees). Because of the butterfly closure these work! The Velcro straps are a bit long but a bit of needle and thread can remedy that if needed. Always easier to make shorter than make longer! I haven't wiped out wearing these but I tested them the same way I used to test my pads when I was a mid-20 to 30 something roller blading and they feel plenty sturdy. I didn't feel any jarring or sharpness when I dropped onto my knees during testing. If you're an "older" skater or would-be skater looking for pads these are a great first pair!

Durable and comfortable over pants - not for heavy usage
After using these for almost two months regularly, these things are holding up well. They slide over your pants which I prefer for a better fit. They’re so comfortable you don’t even know they are there. They do shift sometimes, but that’s to be expected if you slide a lot. They fit well over chinos too. They’re showing obvious signs of heavy use with some fraying by high contact areas, but in key spots (like the strap, or corners where a lot of fabric is sewn) they’re totally fine. Only thing is I wish there was a touch more padding, but I say that after bailing at the coping of a 12’ pool and landing hard on my knees (this will hurt regardless). So the bigger bails I’d always prefer to land on a pillow but that isn’t realistic. These will work well for anyone, especially if you’re just getting started and wear pants a lot. No pads will last forever, so remember: if you skate so much you burn through them quickly that can be a gratifying problem to have (because it means your skating heavily and not watching Netflix). Update: 6 months later looking for new pads. These are good but not for heavy heavy usage. If you plan to fall on your knees a lot get beefier ones. These are now so worn that there’s nothing behind the plastic shells.

My new besties!!
I'm 5'2 & bought a Large. (According to the manufacturer's sizing chart (google search; pro tec sizing chart) I could have gone with a Medium and I believe I could have but at the time they were not available, L still worked for me) At first I thought they were a bit bulky (I wasn't really used to protective gear) but within that first skate sesh, they felt like a perfect fit!! Nice padding!! has saved my knees so many times already!! The pads go on like a sleeve and then have Velcro straps to adjust above and below the knee. I wear them for at least an hour at a time and they do NOT ride down if adjusted appropriately.

Great knee pads
These pads withstand some real wear and tear. My son is rough on everything and he gets down and dirt while he is riding his scooter. These have held up nicely. And they are comfortable

Great for skaters with large knees except bottom strap
Pro-Tec is usually the only company i can find for us big guys. I have some pretty large knees and these were pretty much the only knee pads i could find that would fit. The top strap fits very well, however the bottom strap is much too short. The person who designed these pads must be under the impression that someone would have huge knees and a calves like sticks. If i ratcheted down the bottom strap to meet the velcro i couldn't even bend my knee. I modded them by buying some additional nylon strap to extend them, but given the size of the upper part i was kind of disappointed. If they would make the bottom strap a little larger these would be perfect for people with big or very muscular legs. So if you are looking for pads to fit large upper legs or knees give these a shot, just be prepared to do some minor modding before the bottom is comfortable.

Perfect for Snowboarding...
These are great...I bought them for snowboarding and was able to use them immediately after they arrived. I'm glad I read the other reviews about sizing first; someone posted a pic of a sizing chart, and using that I bought the L. I'm female, 5'6" and 135 lbs, and would have bought the M otherwise, but based on the chart L would be best, and they fit great. They're a little bulky and they have a slight natural bend to them, but IMO it didn't inhibit how I could walk around. They're also super secure; they didn't budge once I strapped them on and put on the rest of my gear. I think their bulk makes them more protective...I took a couple spills yesterday and they worked awesome. Not sure about other activities, but if you're looking for some protection for snowboarding, get these!

You get what you paid for
Solid pair of knee pads! I've owned Triple 8 knee pads in the past and they cannot even compare to the PROTEC brand. The PROTEC are much sturdier and not to mention they don't have an exposed bottom velcro strap on the bottom front of the pad. Mine always got torn up when I'd take a spill on the longboard and tear right through the velcro strap, rendering them utterly useless. The actual cap on these are much more durable and the knee pads stays in place nicely due to it being a slip on knee pad. I would recommend these to anyone! Just make sure you follow the sizing guide when you buy these.

ottime ginocchiere di qualità medio alta. non sono le classiche gonicchiere a farfalla ma hanno una calza che fascia tutto il ginocchio più le due fasce elastiche per non calare.

Knee pads were as described, they look like a good quality item. They are a Christmas gift. It was a shame the delivery driver let you down! My item was not handed to me, as stated. it was placed next to my cat, who was asleep outside on my doorstep.....so saying it was handed to the resident is incorrect, I suppose, my cat is a resident though!!! Oh and yes...we were in the house.
