McDavid is always quality
I got these for basketball and am very happy with them. I typically wear tights under them as well so I can't speak to how they grip without tights, but even with tights on they stay up on my legs very well. I have gotten some off brand ones and they slip down constantly. These also will slide down and need to be pulled up, but it isn't nearly as often. They are very durable. I used to play a lot harder than I do now so I would seemingly always be on the ground diving for a ball or something and they would hold up to the abuse. Tights of any brand seem to rip very easily but these hold up a lot better. They will rip but not as easily as tights do. They aren't super breathable but since I wear tights it isn't really an issue with me. The pads are very flexible so you don't even notice them on when you're running.I have had several pairs of these over the years and am very happy with them. The price is a little higher than off brand versions but in this case you do get what you pay for. It's well worth the price and will absolutely buy them again when I wear through these.

Good protection, and sizing is a bit small
I bought these leg sleeves for support and protection particularly for indoors basketball. Wore it a couple of times now and I must say I am not disappointed with the minimal support and good amount of protection it gives. Though one thing I was worried about at first is how I can manage to wear these every time, as they are a bit tighter than I expected. I bought a Medium based on the sizing provided here for my knees (15"), and first try I thought it was a little bit tight on the knees as well as with the elastic bands for the thighs (17.25"). But when I actually tested it out on court, they actually feel alright, which lessened my worries, though the elastic bands may have been better though I can primarily attribute it to my massive thighs. Moisture wicking capabilities are also great. Durability still needs to be tested, but overall, these are a great pair of leg sleeves, and I will buy it again.Update (July 10, 2018): After 6 months, these pair of sleeves are still holding up nicely. No holes, stitching issues, or elastic degradation. The only concern I have is that the Hex area that comes in contact with the knee will have an off smell after every use. This just happened recently and even considering that it is washed properly every after one session of use. I'm thinking that this is inevitable for sports equipment, therefore it's also important to disinfect (e.g. washing with bleach) from time to time, to prevent bacteria from building up which is the cause of the smell.

They seem to tear pretty easy

Excellent knee pads for club basketball players
fit perfect, perfect for playing club basketball, the thickness protects my daughters knees well, the fabric holds up for at least 6 plus months.

Bought them for work.
I recently started using these compression knee pads, and they have made a significant difference in my daily activities. The fit is snug yet comfortable, providing excellent support without restricting movement. The compression helps reduce swelling and discomfort, especially during the workday or long periods of standing. The material is breathable and moisture-wicking, which keeps my knees dry and comfortable throughout the day. Additionally, the pads are durable and maintain their elasticity even after multiple washes. Overall, these compression knee pads offer great support and relief, making them a valuable addition to my tool bag. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking effective knee support."

Disappointed
I'm so disappointed with these! I paid a premium price expecting top-tier quality, especially regarding durability and comfort. Instead, the moment I took them out of the package, they felt flimsy. There's absolutely no give or stretch to the fabric, and they're ridiculously tight on my 9U player. She immediately complained about how uncomfortable they are to run in, which is a deal-breaker. They're going straight back! I really feel ripped off, especially given the higher cost. I expected so much more for the price I paid.

Great in some regards, not-so-great in others
Recently purchased my THIRD pair of the 6446 Hex Leg Sleeve/pad. I know-- three stars, yet have purchased three pairs. All three have been used by my 12 year old son for AAU basketball- lots of aggressive play and a lot of time spent diving to or falling on hard floors. These pads do many things right- fit well, stay up, protect the knee cap (do not know if they would protect a shin as often pictured). However, the outer fabric just doesn't hold up. He wore the first two pairs for four games and two games respectively and BOTH tore badly. The outer layer of fabric opened up and the little hex pads tore away from the fabric backing basically rendering them useless for impact protection. At +/-$30/per on Amazon (and pretty much same price elsewhere), I would expect better performance and longer life.Unfortunately, they are still the most comfortable versions out there (12 year old opinion) and after seeing lots of other players on his and other teams fiddle with similar, non-McDavid versions, I am inclined to believe him.McDavid now makes a "double-layer" version, I assume in reaction to similar experiences to those we have had, but they are only available in black (against team uniform rules) and only in the shorter version, which my son finds much less comfortable and much less likely to stay "up" (not slipping down the leg).We have used McDavid equipment religiously for baseball for many years and never had a complaint- offered glowing reviews and repeated recommendations to other players, but these pads get a "purchase at your own risk" recommendation from me.
