Nyko Smart Clip - PlayStation DUALSHOCK 4 controller Clip on Mount for Android Phones, all Samsung Galaxy Phones, any Google Pixel Phones, all iPhones including 12 Pro/Max, 13 Pro/Max

Very cool and useful. Can use my phone to view the TV screen and play a game away from the PlayStation and can also use a cable to hook up to my controller and use it on the phone. Seems durable after moderate use for a few months. The only slight issue (if you can call it that) is the mold doesn't completely go over the controller to make it flush sorta so the PS button is hard to push a little and so are the share button and options. Holds phone securely and the rubber straps are holding up fine. Would recommend to anyone who needs a cell phone holder while gaming.

This works exactly as advertised. The build quality is surprisingly solid. Also, with a very simple and cheap "mod" (you can hardly even call it that) it will hold the PS Vita securely when using remote play. All I did was use a medium binder clip and attached it to the top of the Nyko Smart Clip. Once the binder clip is attached you can removed the arms, and adjust the depth of the arm-less binder clip as needed to hold the Vita in place. I found that the bottom of the PS Vita is held in place nicely by the Nyko Smart Clip, so no "mod" is needed there. The nice thing is that the binder clip can be easily removed should you want to use this for a different device. I'll add a photo when I have a moment.

When I received the Smart Clip, I was very excited. It looked good and seemed pretty solid. However when I opened the holder/bracket to insert my smartphone the thing kinda broke on the inside. ON FIRST TRY! Now the holder won't spring back so the smartphone just lays in there, without something to hold it in place. Also I live in the Netherlands and the return policy is terrible with Amazon. I ordered the item on 17 May and received it 24 May. I have until 26 May to return it. 24th is a Saturday, which leaves out Sunday 25th. So basically I have ONE day to return it back and also pay for the shipping and packaging. This item is $10, it literally costs me more to send it back to get my money back. I'm cheaper off by throwing this in the trash. Do not buy the Nyko Smart Clip. It's cheap, but the quality is even bad for that price.

Works great! It even holds a galaxy note 4 in an otter box case with no issues. It's practical use however depends on how often you use your phone while gaming. They give you two sets of industrial rubber band straps and they are very sturdy. They even fit over the nemo extended battery also. While the phone adds weight to the controller (obviously) it does as advertised and it does it well.

So initially the phone holder worked excellent. Held my iphone tight and all was good . Unfortunately the thin plastic bracket the crosses over on the front of the ps4 controller is paper thin so with very little useage the bracket snapped. It’s basically the achilles heel of the whole thing. Im going to attempt to fix it with the old krazy glue baking soda and carbonite pencil shavings. Makes a very strong bond. I really shouldnt have to do that in first place but im a handy guy. I Thank you if the company could re-design the controller holder and make the plastic areas thicker it might hold up longer. And I was very gentle with this but that’s what you get for 10 bucks.

Overall, it gets the job done. I would recommend this mounting clip if anyone asked me. It is much better then the previous iteration; using the rubber strips works a lot better then the plastic backplates. 4/5! However, there are some flaws I would like to see fixed in the next iteration. 1) I think the bottom mounting should be more "weighted" or heavier. With my phone in particular(s20), it is very heavy compared to the clip, so it puts a lot of pressure on the clip, thus causing more wear. 2) The fasteners need more free range of motion when locking down. Ex. trying to counter balance the weight of the phone with the controller via the mounting clip isn't as effective when it will only lock down at certain degrees. I.E. 45, 90, 135, etc. 3) Is it possible to make this out of metal by chance? I am assuming its made via 3d printer, so maybe its not, but that is a big flaw in this clip. Overall, it's a good clip compared to others, I am pleased with this product, just would like to see a better version on the next iteration. Good job!

Quality clip! It costs a few dollars more than the nearest equivalent, but you get what you pay for. The construction is sound, it holds in place nicely, and haven't had any issues for the last 4 months since I've had it. The clip is held in place to the dualshock 4 via specialized rubber "bands", but it's tough and has not fallen off or given me any trouble at all. They also included an additional spare pair (2 extra) just in case. To my amazement, the clip itself extends for about 6 inches or so, so it has no trouble holding in any cell phone even with a thick case on it... I'm willing to bet you can even hold a small pad of some sort, like a Kindle. I had a screw fall off after it came undone (I forgot to screw it in tightly) and when I emailed the seller they took care of it without any hassle... That's quality service. Buy the clip, you'll know where the extra 3 dollars or so went when you see the build quality.

Item works as advertised. The screws does a good job of holding the phone in the correct angle you want and there are rubber pads on the grips to cushion your phone and adjustable heights for different sizes of phones (up to a 7 or 8 inch tablet I guess, although it does make it a bit unwieldy if you are using such a big screen for this device). 2 niggles though. If you are using this with a phone with power and volume buttons on the sides (like my xperia z2), the grip does clamp down on the buttons and it does affect the functionality to an extent. I couldnt get it to grip my xperia Z2 without moving it to the side, which seems kind of awkward. Although this issue only affects xperia phones, where the power buttons are usually located in the middle. But then, this is for a ps4 controller, and if the guy is buying a Sony ps4, there is a chance he's using this with a sony phone if he wants to connect it as a 2nd screen for the playstation app or to use a ps4 controller to play games on the phone..... I also felt the way it holds onto the controller could have been better implemented. basically, you need to fix the controller onto the clip using some rubber band thingy that attaches to the back. It's not easy to remove and the bands can be easily misplaced if you remove your controller (they do give u extra bands). I had the gameklip for the ps3 and that did not require any bands to hold the controller in place. The product is well built though, and works as advertised. Just felt more thought could have gone into how the controller and phone as held in place.

xperia z3での使用です。 届いたのでレビューしてみたいと思います。 当方、スマホでエミュなどをやる為、この手の商品を捜していたところ、最終的にこれに行き着きました。 海外製品なので若干の不安はありましたが、米amazonのレビューでは軒並み高評価でしたし、値段的にもリーズナブルでしたので ダメ元で注文してみました。 結果としては期待以上でした。 まずホールド感ですが、これはもうしっかり決まります。 スマホ側は上下から挟み込んで固定するのですが、アジャスター内部にバネか強力なゴムが入っているらしく スマホとの接地面のゴム板+落下防止の爪と併せて完全に固定されます。 外すときもちょっとアジャスターを上に引っ張るだけで簡単に取り外せますのでストレスはないです。 ついでにアジャスターがどこまで伸びるか試したところ、最大で15cmまで伸びました。 スマホでは若干大きめなxperia z3でも縦にして取り付け可能です。 縦画面でやるゲームなどでは有効ですね。 補足ですが最小幅は5cmです。横幅5cm以下のスマホなど無いでしょうから、スマホであればほぼ全て取り付けられると思います。 次にDS4側ですが、流石に専用設計なだけありこちらもバッチリ決まります。 上からかぶせて背面で専用のゴムバンド２本を使い固定する方式ですが使用中にぐらつくようなことはまず無いかと思われます。 ちなみに予備のゴムバンドが２本が附属します。 仮に予備品まで使い切っても太めの輪ゴムあたりで代用出来そうなので、そこら辺の心配はいらないかと思います。 どうせ外で人前で使うようなアイテムではないですしねw ちなみにDS4にかぶせた際にDS4の機能面で阻害される部分はゼロです。ここら辺も流石に専用設計。 スピーカー部分にも穴が開けてあるのでPS4でリモートプレイする際にも全然問題ありません。 操作性に関しては・・・言うまでもありませんねw 元々評価の高いDS4でプレイするわけですから悪いはずはありません。 それとここが気になるって人もいるかと思われるので一応書いておきます。 ずばりDS3でも使えるか？ 残念ながらあくまでDS4専用なのでDS3では使えません。 無理をすれば取り付けられそうですが、ホームボタンと四角ボタンがつぶされます。 まぁこれは仕方ないですね・・・。 次に首振りの角度ですが、こちらもかなり自由に角度がつけれます。 大体ですが240度くらいでしょうか。 DS4を台に見立てて動画鑑賞なども問題なく出来ます。 角度の面で不満が出ることはないと思われます。 ちなみに角度は横にあるツマミで固定します。指でギュッと締める程度でしっかり固定されます。 少々振ったくらいではぐらつきません。 ベットで寝転がってプレイしてたらガクンとお辞儀したってことにもならないでしょうw 長くなりましたがまぁこんなとこでしょうか。 本当はソニーが出す純正品のアタッチメントを待つ予定でしたが、もはやそれも必要ありませんね。 これぞ自分が求めていたアイテムに他なりません。 似たようなアイテムを捜している方がおられたら、是非これをオススメしたいですね。 本当に使いやすいです。

I've gone through a lot of craptacular controller/cell phone attachments but this stands out as by far the best one I've used and as the DualShock 4 is my personal favorite controller out at the moment, the combo for PS4 remote gaming on my Sony Xperia is amazing. Pretty sure the ds4 also works with the steam streaming app now, but as of yet have not tested it out. Comes with additional elastics in case you bust the original set, but you can just use regular elastics as a replacement if needed. I am a little worried of the plastic clip breaking, I'd like to see someone take this and cast it in a durable metal so it lasts.

nice product, build quality easy adjustable is good now im playing ps4 games in my Mobile.

Product works. Substand quality and ridiculously priced with import duty. Product would be like for 250 rs. max however I ended up paying 3500/-
