Bourbon Smoked Citrus Pepper

While searching for a new unique salt for my dad, I came across this pepper. He's used it on Lemon Chicken, and my mom has used it to top Eggs Benedict. They seem to really like it a lot and asked me to keep an eye out for other flavors.

I recently tried the Citrus Pepper by Bourbon Smoked, and while I had high hopes for it, I found that it lacked the spiciness I was expecting. The citrus notes are pleasant and add a nice flavor to my dishes, but I was hoping for a more robust kick. Additionally, I noticed that the expiration date is quite close, which is disappointing and makes me feel like I won’t get to enjoy it for long. It works well as a seasoning for lighter fare, but if you're looking for something that delivers a punch, you might want to look elsewhere. Overall, it's a decent seasoning, but it didn't quite meet my spice expectations, and the short shelf life is a letdown.

Wonderful product to add a delicious and robust flavor to foods. This is like lemon pepper on steroids with an additional flavor profile. Wonderful! It can be used on vegetables, meats, and other foods.

Not what I expected but was still very good on grilled meat.

This has replaced all other pepper in my spice cabinet. I love to create rubs and marinades for bbq and smoker, this is an amazing addition to any spice cabinet

We’ve tried this on a number of recipes and each time, the pepper taste is overwhelming. I tried it on Pork Chops, Chicken, Cod, a small Beef Tenderloin and a tiny bit in a stir fry but each time, it’s so strong. It’s almost inedible. I like pepper in my recipes, but this level of pepper overwhelms even me.

I absolutely love the Bourbon Smoked Paprika by this brand. I put it on everything. It's my secret ingredient in many recipes. But I wasn't a fan of this one. There wasn't much citrus and it was not very peppery. I might have just gotten an old jar.
