This is hypnotic to watch as the vaguely iridescent (as in rainbow coloured like oily water) nature of the hexagons creates all sorts of patterns with the colours alone. It's probably not true iridescence but the purples and green look different from different angles. I'm sure there's a better way to describe but suffice to say, it's not one solid colour and looks quite different from different angles and when you turn the hexagons.The hexagons are concentric but can rotate to a certain degree and can also go up or down - if you rest it on the top of a bottle, it'll end up with a dome shape, and if you lift it up, it'll become concave.It's light and doesn't feel all that flimsy although it's not going to resist an angry youngster bashing it.It's a fun stocking filler gift if the price is reasonable.
