Great Lapel Microphone At A Great Price
I needed a microphone to do videos with but I had trouble with the microphone picking up hum and buzz noise from my computer no matter what microphone I tried. About a year ago I bought a PopVoice PV610 Lapel Microphone and plugged it into my computer and got the same noisy results, but then I tried using a USB audio adapter made by Sabrent. I then plugged the PopVoice PV610 Lapel Microphone into the Sabrent AU-EMCB Audio Adapter and the computer's hum and buzz was gone and I had clean quiet full sound from the PopVoice PV610 Lapel Microphone. I highly recommend using the PopVoice PV610 Lapel Microphone and Sabrent AU-EMCB Audio Adapter together because the combination works very well. The price for both the PopVoice PV610 Lapel Microphone and the Sabrent AU-EMCB Audio Adapter are a great value and very affordable. I give the combination of the PopVoice PV610 microphone and Sabrent AU-EMCB Audio Adapter 5 Stars. Please look at my video review to see the microphone and audio adapter in action.

I now have 3 of them.
I tried others and this is so sensitive I don't have to wear it just put it someplace and talk. I do videos for YouTube and the audio is perfect using my old cell phone and CS4 for editing. I don't mess with audio levels at all.

My experience and why I gave this product a 4 out of 5
My motivation for purchasing the Professional #1 Best Lavalier Lapel Microphone is predominantly to capture quality sound to go along with the videos I shoot. Initially and in part due to the low cost of the product my expectations were not immediately high, but I felt that I had nothing to lose especially since my DSLR camera is not capable of capturing usable audio. My expectations for this product were for it to be physically lightweight, quick and easy to use and set up, and to be able to capture decent audio and function properly for on camera interviews. I already knew my IPhone6 recorded great audio if placed in the right spot, but in order to step my game up professionally I wanted the option of using a lavaliere microphone for interviews. I wanted something cheap but to still be able to give me quality sound similar to my IPhone6. I purchased this microphone about four months ago and have unfortunately only been able to use it a handful of times due to my busy schedule. However, in the instances that I have used it, majority of the time it has proven to function properly. The matte black cable and lapel clip provide a way to easily hide the technology when using it. The Omnidirectional Condenser microphone that is attached to the 59” (1.5m) cable is just as compact as a standard pair of Apple headphones, while also fitting the 3.5mm headphone jack that is universal for most smart devices. I do not recall receiving any directions accompanying the product, but the set up and usage was fairly easy to interpret. In my experience with the product I used an app with which to record and store my audio that was previously installed on my IPhone6 called, “voice memo.” Once this app was opened I inserted the cable into the jack as if they were headphones and then hit record. I instantly could see the sound being picked up thus indicating its initial functionality. This product seems to work effectively and most efficiently when paired with a mobile phone. I tried once to connect it to my Macbook Pro laptop but it did not show it was recording anything. My assumption is that there is a setting that needs to be changed in the preferences of my laptop in order to tell the computer to use the jack for recording audio and not listening. If you do not have a program for recording sound already open this may cause difficulties in functionality as well. There were two instances when the microphone simply did not record sound while being plugged in to my mobile phone. This was a concern of mine because when you are in the field and on the go there is no time for your audio recorder to not work. One option for temporarily fixing this problem is by unplugging the cable and then plugging it in again. This product is just one way to combine a cheap price with professionally capable equipment. Recording sound is the purpose for this product and in the few times I have tested it out I have paid special attention to background noise pick up and its sensitivity ranges. These are important aspects to think about because once the audio is captured there is only so much you can do in postproduction to correct it. I have attached audio files demonstrating voice and sound captured with the microphone and also without it (using my cell phone’s built-in microphone). You can hear the recordings by copy and pasting my Soundcloud link, see audio tracks 1 and 2 to compare close sensitivity, track 2 has the tendency to capture too much audio at once while track one uses the windscreen on the lapel microphone. See audio tracks 3 and 4 to compare the distance sensitivity. You can especially notice the difference in background noise and clarity of my voice. The final two clips measure pitch, the low rumble of cars 30 feet away from me and the sharp sound of clanking keys. I have not tried out any other cheap microphones besides the built in one from my mobile phone and the built in one on my DSLR camera. Out of these options the omnidirectional condenser microphone and my mobile phones built in microphone, I’d say that they are similar in sensitivity range and sound pick up. The downfall to using your mobile phone is that visually it is unprofessional. This product is essentially a professional extension to the audio recorder you have in your smart device. Overall I like this product and recommend it as a quick alternative to capturing audio. This product appeals to audiences interested in technology, videography and sound recording. With today’s technology each individual can capture quality audio recording from his or her smart phone or device. The situations where this microphone would work best would be for interview recording, vocal recording or for capturing sound in difficult or hard to reach places. For people who do not have an audio jack built in to their camera body this cheap product serves as a great alternative to professionally capturing quality audio. Audio 1: Saying the ABCs using lapel microphone clipped on left lapel 5 inches down from chin. In this audio file I clipped the microphone 5-6 inches down from my chin onto my lapel or collard shirt. I spoke in the direction forward of me and did not move my head to either side while speaking. Audio 2: Saying the ABCs with built in mobile phone microphone on the left lapel 5 inches down from chin. In this audio file I held my mobile phone in the same position as the lapel microphone and spoke with the same criteria. In cases where a person has a relatively high shirt pocket a phone can be used to capture audio from there as well. Audio 3: Saying the ABCs 6-10 feet away with lapel microphone. You can tell the slight difference in the clarity of my voice and footsteps when using the lapel microphone. Audio 4: Saying the ABCs 6-10 feet away using mobile phone built in microphone. The audio recording without the microphone captures more static tends to draw an echo from where I was standing (Potentially can depend on environment settings). Audio 5: Cars driving by, slight rain, approximately 30 feet away and using a lapel microphone. In this audio file I was standing at a far distance from the street as cars passed by and rain drizzled down. Audio 6: Car keys jiggling 6 inches above lapel microphone. In this audio file I got closer to the microphone to see how it would pick up a higher pitch generated jiggling my car keys. Link to hear audio! [...]

Much better than I even hoped.
I typically do not return after an Amazon purchase to leave a review. But I felt the need to clarify a few points of dissension surrounding this product. 1) Although the product description states that this mic will NOT work with the Galaxy S7, I assure you that it will in fact work reliably with the S7. My S7 immediately recognized the mic as an audio input devise. Although the pop up message references headphones rather than a mic. 2) This is not a lo-fi, low output mic. For the cost it is a very detailed, well balanced and loud mic. It is very sensitive and has a wide field of coverage. In fact it may be too sensitive and loud. Used as a lavalier mic it picks up my heartbeat, swallowing and breathing. Admitingly, this is the first lavalier mic I have ever used. But it seems much too sensitive and loud to be used as a lavalier. I will have to experiment with on body placement/usage to get the best resuls. I am using this mic while making content for my youtube channel. Mostly table top reviews, but I also step in front of the camera occasionally. This mic is sensitive enough for distance micing for voice up to 10 feet in a controlled environment. Just remember that it is not a directional mic so you will pick up much more room reflection and ambient sounds. On my table top the mic is placed approximately 28" to 30" away from my mouth. It is still sounds powerful and is fully capable of picking up breathing and swallowing from that distance. I have not found this mic to be thin, weak or anemic sounding. It definitely is loud and sensitive. 3) If you use this as a lavalier mic be careful with the attachment clip. It is easy to use and well built, but has a strong spring and surprisingly sharp teeth. It really stays firmly attached but may also damage some thin or delicate garment cloth if you are ham fisted while attaching and removing. 4) The packaging is actually decent. A nicely printed and attractive, simple fold up type box. Inside is a small, black velvet-esque drawstring bag containing the mic, clip, PC adapter and a spare foam windscreen. Also you will find the folded paper usage instructions and warranty info. Not a bad package for the cost. Over all I think this mic is a good value at the current sub $13.00 price tag. Tons of sensitivity and output, decently full sound/tone, and quality feel make it seem like a winner to me. Now I just need to learn it's characteristics and limitations to get the best out of it. It has already been a huge improvement in my very modest production set up.

Perfect, If You Have Zero Expectations
For me, the cons are outweighing the pros each time I use this. I want to start with what I like about it, first. I REALLY like that it flaunts the logo consistently across separate areas of the product itself. It's an attractive placement choice.~ The clip is really neat and sturdy. It came with additional replacement equipment pieces. That's really thoughtful, and I do appreciate that! The black bag that is included feels super strong and it has a cool drawstring feature. The negatives about this mostly regard the quality of the audio and the material itself. The cords don't feel durable to me at all. They remind me exactly of the dollar shoppe audio cords. I feel very certain it will start to come apart within the next month with minimal to normal wear and usage. The audio sound is very basic, and comes a little short of decent. I'm not impressed but this is also not a high-end costly product. I should not expect great things from this but I was hoping for at least a "good standard". I just find this affordable and basic. That's not so bad, if you have zero expectations! In fact, I think this mic is perfect for anyone that has zero expectations! But i think this type of quality is just not something I'm okay with using on a regular basis. This is not a professional product but it has a good appearance, usage falls into a simplistic level, and it has a lower-average quality of performance.

An amazing quality Lavalier Mic for the price! Perfect for new streamers!
For starters, you may be thrown off by the price, I surely was. but when I was looking for an inexpensive option for simple on camera shots without having to use wireless lav mics, this has very well exceeded my expectations. I used this mic for testing with walk about live streaming using my phone and without the included 4 pin to 3 pin adapter (used mainly for PC's) installed on my Galaxy S8. I was able to use it as a mic and that's helped me with being able to live stream, while not having to worry so much about the audio being picked up. The box that it ships in is very minimal, but it really doesn't need to be crazy on packaging. It comes with the Mic with an attached Metal Clip, which is very nice considering most will use some sort of plastic clip and that can be damaged easily. You also get the aforementioned PC adapter, 2 additional wind muffs in case you need to replace them and a very nice felt pouch to store it all in with a small strip of Velcro to tie the cable up neatly. The cable connecting the Mic to the Jack is about 8ft long, which is more than enough for most people and the construction of the cable feels very solid. The audio quality is pretty great, I mean for $13 you really can't get much better than this. With the included wind muffs, you're able to eliminate most ambient noise or wind and if the mic is well positioned enough, you'll get a nice rich sound with good bass. Like any mic, you'll want to experiment for the best positioning of the mic, for your individual needs. As I mentioned previously, I'm using this mic with a Samsung Galaxy S8 and it is compatible with iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, but you will need to have a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter, which is not included in the bundle. For overall for price, durability and noise cancellation. I have to give this mic a 5 star rating, because for the price and applications, you really just can't beat it for the simple applications. If you're a startup YouTuber or Streamer and need a simple Lav Mic to get started, look no further as this one will do the trick for you while you save up for those expensive $200 Mics.

lavalier beast
I recently decided to try out the PoP voice Lavalier Lapel Microphone, and I'm really happy with it. A lot of customer reviews rave about its value for the price, and I have to agree. First off, the mic comes neatly packaged and is super easy to clip onto your clothing. Customers often mention how versatile it is—picking up sound from all directions and capturing clear audio. It really does deliver audio quality that’s comparable to some of the higher-end professional mics, which is impressive for something in this price range. The build feels solid, and the included windscreen does a great job of cutting down on wind noise. The long cable is another highlight; at about 6 feet, it gives you plenty of freedom to move around while recording. Overall, based on other reviews and my own experience, this mic is a fantastic deal. It’s become a staple for my recording setup and offers great performance without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for a reliable, budget-friendly lavalier mic, the PoP voice is definitely worth considering!

Jack is loose and quit working.
The jack is shoddy and loose. Started cutting out and making horrible feedback / buzzing noises. I had to cut the cable and remove the jack to solder a new one on myself. It's cheap, it works, it does the job. With some filters in OBS it can sound really good. Noise gate, background noise filter, and EQ can make this sound like any given entry level streamer mic for under $15 and a few minutes watching YT tutorials on the filters. I hook it on the mic armature of my headset and I don't use my headset mic because it's garbage. If you're not tech savvy maybe best to avoid it.
