I’ve given this tub a good test drive and am so pleased with it! This one is a very generous size and can fit a good amount in. When I did it’s first test I popped in half an iceberg, some radishes that were feeling sorry for themselves and looking a bit withered and a pepper. At this point I still had room for more but just didn’t have it.When I got the tub out the next day the salad was fresh, the radish looked much better than it did the day before and everything was crunchy. There was a good amount of condensation but due to the mat on the bottom none was touching the salad and this helped the salad remain crisp.I managed to keep some iceberg crisp and still tasting fresh for a good week but ate it at that point and so couldn’t say how long it would go beyond this.The lid is a very firm fit and the whole container feels very sturdy. The shape makes it fit well in the fridge and makes it look much neater. These boxes are so easy to clean ready to get the next bit of salad in it. A great advantage has been much less waste as everyone is eating more because it stays so fresh which is a great bonus health wise as well.Personally I haven’t found any disadvantages to the tub as yet and would definitely buy more or recommend them to friends and family.

We bought a couple of these to use in our camper van fridge as we were throwing away good salad and vegetables that were getting squashed and going soggy. These are very good, the system in the lid allows the contents to stay fresh for a lot longer, and they're easily sturdy enough to have other stuff stacked on top of them in a small fridge. A great, nicely thought through product.

Had been looking for something to keep my salad and rocket fresh in the fridge as I was fed up throwing out the bags half full because the salad was, for want of a better word, 'slimy'. This works a treat. Have had some salad in it for over a week as a test and its still crunchy and fresh. Easy to clean by hand but also dishwasher safe in top rack. The container is a good size for salad and doesn't take up too much room in the fridge. Would definitely recommend.

I am a huge fan of all this sistema, so when I saw this it was a must have item for me.It’s very sturdy, easy to clean and maintain.It does not stain at all.The lid is very leak proof.Ther is a little green base that is raised , that comes out, almost like a mini colander were the juice drip to the container base so the food is not lying into which can often make the food go soggy and rotten.Well this helps stop this.It also has a built in filter that never needs to be changed.It such a clever idea and works so well, especially with fruit like raspberries.During the summer my garden is full of them, so this meant I could pick a little more at one time and they would keep fresher longer in the fridge to give away for my daughter till the next week.This one is just a little small for me for me, but I love it and know now how well it works I can invest in purchasing some larger ones for other food stuffs. Def need a bigger one for the raspberries from the garden next year.Once again Sistema delivers a fantastic product.

These containers branded as Rubbermaid in the US. They are unparalleled fresh food containers.Berries, spinach, kale, peppers, etc stay fresh for up to two weeks if they have a 3 day best buy date when you start storing them.These containers are not cheap but they save you money in the long run.Don't wash the food before storing. Just transfer for the original packaging to the containers. Take out what you need when you are preparing a meal and wash it when preparing it to eat.Washing food before storing it seems to shorten it's shelf life a little.

I specifically bought this box to keep mushrooms fresh. I did worry a bit about the size of this box because it was advertised for berries which tend to come in much smaller packs, but I didn't want to go for the next bigger size, and it turns out that this box is a good fit for half a 250g pack of mushrooms. The mushrooms are kept nice and fresh, and most importantly you won't have any problems with condensation because of the little tray at the bottom. The 591ml capacity are probably what fits in the bottom part of the box - there's plenty of room in the lid as well, so with solid food that you can pile up, you'll have a lot more than 591ml at your disposal.

I am a whole-food vegan so preserving your veg is essential. Bendy carrots and floppy broccoli are pretty depressing things and I bought one of these boxes in a sale to try it out. I found that these worked perfectly and I bought a variety of sizes - when they were on sale! I cut up broccoli immediately and put the florets in one of these. I pack carrots, radishes etc and they stay very bright and crisp for many days longer than usual. Far better than the fridge crisper drawer. Even lettuce torn or separated into sections lasts well. They seem to eliminate the gradual wilting that can make veg unappealing even to a vegan. Wait for the sale though.
