We really like these lights a lot. The color is very warming and we love the fact there’s no remote control to change batteries in all the time. Plug this one in when you want the lights on and unplug it when you don’t.

For a small apartment porch these are perfect. Did not use the hangers, shaped the rope around the flowerpots and door lintel along the floor and outlined the railing. Gives a nice subtle light and the dimmer is great. The remote allows me to operate lights (opening the door) without having to go outside and there's a color for every mood. The rope is nice and flexible, I used a few zip ties to mount it to a railing. Very pleased . Update: all of a sudden sections of blue lights don't work. One section came back on, all the other LEDs work but without blue the colors are messed up, too.

We've had seasonal lights hanging from the eaves of our home for many years, but the traditional mini lights always seemed to fail after some years. We decided to try the LED light system and found the multi-color LED rope lights. The plan was for the lights to serve as 'holiday' lights (green, red, orange, etc.) for those occasions but also as a form of security lighting for the front of the house during the rest of the year (white lights). I've installed them as indirect lighting under the eaves and it creates a nice affect. I have them set on a dawn/dusk light sensor timer and they work great. I appreciate the lights even have some dimming capacity. I've connected four sets together (max recommended) and it serves our needs (~60ft). I would like to note that when I initially installed the four lengths together I found only the first two worked correctly and was afraid the lighting controller could only handle/power two lengths. I contacted customer service (via email) with the issue and they were very helpful with troubleshooting the problem. It took some back and forth emails, but it turned out the third length had a faulty connector. They quickly sent a replacement. We've enjoyed the multi-light options for the winter holiday and have even changed the colors on the occasions to show support for our sport teams ... kinda fun.

I bought 4 of the 5m/16.4ft strands to encircle my round pool. I was replacing a single 20m strand of a similar type that I'd bought about about five years ago. Compared to the old, I'm impressed with the connector style at the end of these ropes. Each is fitted with a notch so you can not plug them into each other (or to the power/controller brick) the wrong way around. The connector bodies are quite deep enough to be able to screw nice and tightly. I wouldn't count on submersing them consistently, but I think they'll be able to withstand more than enough splashing. You get a plastic twist-in terminator plug with each strand. The manufacturer's recommendation is a maximum of four strands chained together. I didn't bust out my meter to measure current and resistance at the start vs the end of the line. But it all seems to work perfectly well so far. One upswing is that I now have three extra sets of control boxes, termination-plugs, and remote controls in case the any of those components decides to go sideways. The bright/dim function has five minor steps, and isn't incredibly useful, but it works. The color palette on the remote actually does represent the colors that the LEDs can output. This sounds silly, but is surprisingly important. My land strand's remote had an outsized palette, giving the buyer the impression that many more colors or blends might be displayed, but that was a trick - all of those extra buttons just duplicated the primary colors, or else didn't work at all. I'd say the only advantage my old unit had was that its control box had a protruding "dongle" from which the IR sensor hung. This product does not have that - the IR receiver is mounted in the box itself. So you need to take care that the box's proper face is outwards, however you hang or mount it. Otherwise the remote controller will not see it. I hope these lights last a decent long time. Four stars for now.

I had to get a replacement because the first one I received was not turning on once it was installed. Now after about a month or less that they have been up they have stopped working I had them on and when I was going to turn them “ off” I realized they weren’t on anymore so I tried disconnecting from power outlet and connecting back but nothing helped . They do look great but it would have been nice to have it last longer . *** update The seller has sent me a new replacement and it’s working great. The rope lights are very bright you can change speed brightness and it has a few more options. Overall it was a good purchase besides the other incidents but the seller was very helpful and polite and helped me out through the process and answered every one of my questions and I am very satisfied with the service and now with my lights. bought these lights to go between my indoor steps and they look great and I get enough light.

We just finished remodeling our kitchen and wanted to do something to really make it pop. I purchased these lights and was not disappointed. They appear to be very well made. They are very sturdy compared to other lights I've seen. The thing I like most about these lights other than their durability is the fact that they are connectable so you can add multiple strands. In my kitchen I used two together with no issues. Most of the comparable lights I viewed are not connectable which I didn't like. The installation was easy and when we turn the lights on we were very impressed. The colors are bright and vivid and it has an option to dim as well which we really like. We set different colors for different themes when we host or entertain and our guests are always Blown Away by how much more amazing it makes our kitchen look. It really helps make the space more inviting. Everyone is always impressed with the remote control too. They always say "can I try it" I was so impressed with this product that I recently just purchased them again because I built a beautiful bar in my man cave and I plan on using these lights around the bottom of it to add to the ambience of the room. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. The best part is after ordering them I received them the next day. Talk about a great turn around. Custom Service is top notch as well. I needed a second controller and they sent it to me at no charge!

***UPDATE*** I originally gaved these 3 stars due to the reasons I originally wrote below. I am changing my rating to 1 star because after about 6-7 months of ownership all 3 of the strands of LEDs I bought have dead sections on them where one of the three main RGB colors dont work which obviously affects other colors as well. All 3 strips developed this same problem within 6 months of owning them. I would not recommend these to anyone. The LED strips themselves are fine. They are plenty bright enough or if you want to dim them out its decent too. I wish theyd go a bit dimmer but theyre ok. What I was really dont like is the LED controller and remote. The remote wont even work more than about 2 or 3 ft away from the IR sensor on the controller box. These are RGB lights but you can only use 8 predetermined colors (no warm white btw) and the modes suck because every one of them switches between all the colors. I generally like the "breathe" option where it slowly fades in and and out the problem is I only want it to do it with what color I have it set on not with all the colors. every mode switches between the colors. LAME! Another thing that bugs me is why they dont sell just the LED strands. You can run 4 of these together but you have to buy the full set everytime. Now I have 3 extra LED controllers and remotes that I dont need. I mean I guess its nice to have a back up but Id have rather saved a few bucks and just picked up the main kit plus 3 additional light strands. For $150 I feel like I should have gotten way better LED controls and a remote than I could actually use from my chair on the porch instead of having to get up and walk over to the control box. Oh and they really need to add a few extra screws and mounting brackets. I had to come up with some of my own because they dont really give you enough of them.
