Works well, installation requried.
These work well and they are solidly constructed. Be aware however, that you will need to retrofit your existing ladder to accept the levelers. For me, this entailed removing the existing feet from my ladder, drilling holes through the ladder using the included template to locate, putting spacers (washers) on the outside face to bridge the ladders rung extension (without which, it is highly likely the levelers would bind), then attaching the levelers to the outside face of the ladder. Not too difficult, but this is not made clear on the manufacturer’s web page.Regarding the supplied connection hardware, I was expecting to find a little baggie containing all the bits and pieces. I didn’t find them in the box, nor did I find them when I unwrapped the shrink wrap protecting the Levelers. I was so frustrated, I returned them for a new set. Got the new levelers, and same thing. No hardware! At this point, I figured the blame probably lies with me and looked harder. There they were, taped directly to the levelers. Duh. Sorry Amazon.I wanted the levelers to be able to adjust for my stairs to install a ceiling fan. Oops, the legs of the ladder exceeded the stair tread width—it wouldn’t work. I needed to create a stair tread extension to be able to get it to work. It would be great if it were possible to get two riser depth differential (about 15”), but structurally, that probably wouldn’t work without extensive redesign. The website shows the levelers working on stairs, but only on the first tread. So, got the fan installed, and I felt very secure climbing the ladder. Other than the super long supplied attachment bolts, the pads were capable of providing about 73 degree angle. The rule of thumb is to have a 75 degree angle at the base of the ladder. This is not a life safety issue, as long as you max out the pad angle.Other than that, I could see these levelers as quite handy on uneven terrain.A great purchase at a great price. Recommended.

Practicality and safety for challenging heights
This is a clever and practical device that truly simplifies safe access to hard-to-reach places, like the lamp at the top of a triple-height ceiling in my home. The rubber feet provide superior grip and unmatched stability, while the locks add extra security during use. Highly recommended for anyone working on ladders or uneven surfaces, as the anti-slip design and easy adjustment make tasks safer and more efficient.

Doesn’t work with the ladder that I have

comes up short for one important use
These levelers were a 'project' to install. It wasn't super difficult, but it was definitely more of a project than simply attaching them. They help a lot on uneven surfaces. Note that when it comes to stairs, they only work on the landing/1st step. The ladder legs are too far apart for it to work on, say the 4th/5th step for example. The extender doesn't extend far enough for it to work on the 4th/6th step. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. While these have many uses, painting a tall wall along the length of a staircase is not really one of them.

These work so well, and make working on a ladder on uneven surfaces so much safer.
These are made from heavy duty steel parts, and should last longer than the ladder they go on. These are very easy to install with just a couple of holes needing to be drilled in the bottom of the legs on your ladder, and nice templates are provided to make that an easy and accurate task. The bolts provided work fine, but they are very long, so I did swap them out for some that were quite a bit shorter, so that the extra long bolts it came with couldn't get hung up on anything, like my feet. This makes my extension ladder so much safer to use on uneven ground I can't beleive I didn't buy one of these kits years ago. The large pivoting footpads, and the ability to easily slide the leg adjusters to a proper height to keep the ladder straight up is unbelievably good for my peice of mind. I think these are a great deal, and a must have for any extension ladder that gets used on anything other than flat level ground. I very much recommend this product.

Rehabilitated my old ladder
I have an old multi-position ladder whose rubber feet hardened and broke off. So, it mostly sat unused. But it fit some tasks that none of my other ladders could do. One example is that I need a ladder that can straddle a roof ridge, so I could access another roof above that. The ridge is uneven because there are different roof pitches on each side. And that was no longer possible without the rubber feet. So, I was glad to find these ladder extension legs. They are made of steel, so it adds about 6-7 pounds of weight to the ladder and are very sturdy. The adjustable feet are ideal for the two roof pitches, because the extensions’ feet are large round rubber pads.Installation was medium difficulty, due to my ladder having relatively narrow legs. The position of the upper screws would interfere with some ladder reinforcement brackets, so I couldn’t use the pre-drilled holes or the stick-on template. Instead, I had to manually determine the best places to drill mounting holes in the ladder and the extension frames. The most time-consuming part of the installation was shortening the 8 mounting screws from the original 2.5 inches to about 1.25 inches. That involved using a bolt cutter and sander to modify each bolt. I subtracted one star because there was no reason for those bolts to be so long originally. One caution: since the extension kit is made of steel, you may not realize if you overtighten the bolts as it clamps onto your aluminum ladder. If I were to do this over, I’d insert a piece of wood inside the ladder’s aluminum extruded leg before attaching the extensions. That would prevent the aluminum from getting crushed by the steel bolts.Overall, this is a very useful and flexible extension kit, which will work well on many ladders.
