Great for kids!
I got this Kindle for my niece and she loves it. It’s super easy for her to use and keeps her busy with tons of books and kid-friendly content. The case feels sturdy and protects it well—definitely durable enough for a kid. The parental controls are really helpful and easy to set up, which gives peace of mind. Battery lasts a long time too. It’s a great way to get kids into reading without the distractions of a regular tablet. Totally worth it.

My daughter read more with it.
I bought this for my daughter and she has loved it. She has started to read more with it. I love that she access to a ton of books and is always reading with it. It is really easy to use and it ways less then a book. The brightness is easy to adjust for during the day or at night. She can read in the dark or in the middle of the day. It is really easy to use and it was easy for her figure out.

Our 8-year-old son got this as a Christmas gift, he is an avid reader and this is by far his favorite gift. He uses it daily in the car and to read before bed. He is able to use Amazon kids without assistance to download new books, and I have been able to put rented library books on as well. Easy to use and functional. Brightness is good. Battery life superb, hasn’t died yet with only a few charges and he reads for hours. We like the color (sea creatures) and size. There are some slow/lags as I have also experienced with kindle in the past but overall 5 stars.

Bought for myself
This child kindle was on sale and I bought it for myself. I've been toying with the idea of getting a kindle for a long time. I absolutely love it, It makes reading by the pool and outside of the beach so much easier! It syncs flawlessly with my phone in amazon account. It was easy to switch over to the adult profile. I can switch back over to the child profile and they can read their books without issue. The only problem is, if it were for a kid, it is only black. And white and my kid was disappointed in that, but it makes no difference to me. It's a great size and comes with a cover. I don't particularly care for the design but it works.

Convenient and long lasting battery
Ease of use - The books don’t have a button to easy shut it down and make a new selection. We had to swipe down all along the screen corners to find out how to close it. It would he a nice update to include a row of quick link bottoms at the bottom for easeThe brightness and quality are good!The device itself is really small but the text size is good.The book selections are good but not great, newer titles (past year) ade not available unless you pay for them.

Excellent product—go for it!
I much prefer this over the paperwhite. The smaller size and plastic edges surrounding the screen make it really nice to hold. The light is plenty bright for reading in the dark at night. The screen seems to have more contrast and less glare and any potential decrease in processing speed is not bothersome. It is a great value.

We love our kindles!
We bought this for our 9 year old son for Christmas. He liked reading before but we can’t get him to put his kindle down now! The paper white holds a charge for weeks, we love the adjustable brightness, the case has been durable, and it’s a good size for kid hands.We’ve struggled a bit getting books onto the kids view so we’ve had to remove the kids view but it’s worked fine for us so far to allow him to access all books on our account (he thankfully has no interest in what I read lol). This may be user error but the ease of use could be more user friendly.
