Jack Reacher (4K Ultra-HD) [Blu-ray] [2018] [Region Free]

Okay so not a perfect follower of the books (in terms of story and the stature of the lead) but it stands on its own and is a great, entertaining movie. unless you are hooked on the book descriptions, Tom Cruise IS Jack Reacher. Believably.

Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) is a former military police officer, a highly skilled operative in combat and use of firearms.Jack had left the army two years ago deciding to become a drifter invisible only becoming not so by his own choosing.When he hears that a former sniper James Barr who he believed guilty of killings he's not been convicted for is charged with seemingly random shootings in Pittsburgh, Jack who would be happy to see Barr go down becomes curious that the former sniper had been identified so easily.Jack asks arresting detective Emerson (David Oyelowo) to show him the evidence as Barr when asked to sign a confession simply writes ''Get Jack Reacher''Barr's defence lawyer Helen Rodin (Rosamund Pike ) asks Reacher to help, he only agrees if she shows him the evidence and visits the five Pittsburgh victims family's to understand why they might have been targeted.Reacher though no friend of Barr when conducting his own investigation soon realizes the evidence didn't add up.Well, those really responsible for the hit want Reacher's interest in the case to be curtailed and take steps to stop him, however, he is seriously under-estimated.A showdown becomes inevitable when the organisation led byZek Chelovek (Werner Herzog) aided by the real shootist Charlie (Jai Courtney) takes Barr's brief hostage.An explosive showdown will surely follow.Though the character Jack Reacher might portray as being a little too clever the film itself is very entertaining with good action sequences and superb high-speed car chase....worth a viewing.The '4k' upgrade superb.

The Film is Great , and the 4k disc looks superb, Nothing to complain about there, Its the way amazon sends its STEELBOOKS in the post, I had the first one arrive dented and scratched as it was sent in one of the A1 Card sleeves!!! No protection for a Steelbook that costs almost £30 , so that was returned, and requested a replacement Not sent in the same way, But the replacement arrived in the same A1 style sleeve and with worse damage than the first!.... This film follows the Tom Cruise character as he plays the main lead character called Jack Reacher in the film. The film itself does have some good action sequences in it, although it is not action packed entirely, it does have a lot of character development in it. The build up to end of the film is quite good. They made a so so sequel after this one was released.
