Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Bigger Basic

This flip map is amazing. It's so easy to draw on with a whiteboard marker and then erase when objects disappear or if you start a new adventure. It folds away very easily so you can reduce the size of the map if it is too big for your table or when traveling. If you are careful with it, you can keep the map intact on the folded map and travel around with it (I drew my adventure in South Wales and then carried it all the way to Birmingham to play it straight away). One side is a neutral earthy terrain and the other is a stone-y pattern which really suits 90% of quests. The one that came in my pathfinder set was annexed by my old party when I moved so it is great to have another one so I can run adventures for my family. My sister loved it so much, I have bought her one for Christmas.

This mat has been a brilliant (and far cheaper) alternative to the far more expensive Chessex mat I've seen available. I've used it with dry erase markers and had no problems at all. The mat is actually quite large, so it might be worth folding it in half for smaller dungeons.It can be a bit stubborn staying flat on the table after being unfolded before a game, but I counter this by placing a few giant D&D books on top of it while we set up - this flattens out those creases and ensures everyone is ready to fight my totally unfair army of monsters I have prepared for them.

I GM 5 dnd groups. This is much more use to me than the basic one. Its larger and like the rest handy enough but for this one its the size. Il be honest a little bigger again would have made it more perfect but its better than 2 of the smaller ones together

I was expecting a vinyl mat, but this is in fact laminated paper. It is actually very good though. It folds out flat with little persuasion, and with some careful use of Blu-Tak or similar, makes a very good play-surface. It does seem to be very easy to wipe clean, and is so-far water-resistant. Nice surface designs.

It came fast and it is bigger than it seems :) The only problem I have is storing it if I want the map to last because of its size, but better like that than to have to connect few maps into a big one.

it seems pretty good overall. the product comes folded up so the mat is covered in creases that need to be worked out. i would suggest rolling it up to keep the creases out once youve removed them

I was a little disappointed when this arrived and I expected more. I thought it would come in a box and its a paper printed sleeve. The mats themselves are nicely printed and a good size with a glossy finish so will no doubt work with pens but they are little more than glossy paper. i was expecting something a little sturdier like a stiff card. They will function fine I just wanted better quality.

A really great product which has Ben used many times at our gaming club. Brilliant value for money, I really loved this item. Highly recommend.
