I'm a 26 year old woman. I have irregular menstrual cycles due to hormone imbalance (low estrogen and possibly low progesterone too) so my doctor wanted to put me back on birth control pills. I didn't want to take medication so I researched natural ways to help regulate my cycles. I had tried vitex previously which did not work. I discovered maca and decided to try this brand because they sell what I was looking for based on what I learned from my research (gelatinized red maca powder).I started using it in July 2018. I was pleasantly surprised that it improved my anxiety when I first started taking it. That benefit has dissipated over time but I think my anxiety is still better than it used to be. Anyway, now I get a period about every 7-9 weeks which is a great improvement considering the previous year I went 7 months without a period. I try to track my ovulation with ovulation predictor tests and I have gotten a positive result for the majority of my cycles since I started taking maca.Maca does not taste very good. But I discovered that if I mix it into my decaf tea (chai, earl grey, English breakfast, or Constant Comment), it is quite palatable. I also started baking it into my pumpkin spice muffins and it actually makes them taste better. The powder smells kinda like raisins and it has a malty flavor so it mixes well with black tea and probably with chocolate. I take about 1/4 tsp 5-6 days a week in my tea.I'm very happy with what maca has done for me and I'll continue to use this brand. I just bought my second package of it recently. I was not paid for this review, I just wanted to share my experience in hopes of it helping other women with similar hormone issues.

The reviews I read on Maca Team did not dissapoint. I was drawn to black maca for its masculine health benefits. After two months of using maca everyday, I've noticed the benefits. It provides an instant boost of energy, like a cup of coffee. My digestive health has changed.. this stuff maca me fart more for sure and my stool is more solid.. which is a good thing, I guess. About the libido... yes sir, I say this is my my favorite benefit. Ask my wife. The fact that it is all natural is the best part. As far as flavor goes I definitely had to get used to the chalky texture and very earthy taste. But once I figured what it tastes best with, I embraced the flavor, and I enjoy drinking my maca everyday. My favorite flavor pairings have been banana+peanut butter+oatmilk, mangos or Green Smoothie. This product has got some serious value for how much it costs. I will be getting more and likely a bigger size next order

Love the taste of this. It's very nutty and tastes baked. I have noticed a slight weight change but it's ever so slight though I have been taking this only a week. Definitely an energy booster but no change in sex drive as of yet. I'm going to stay with this company going forward although it is a bit pricier than other brands, I prefer this brand due to how much effort they put into reaching out to the consumer after a purchase to confirm they are satisfied and how much knowledgable information is included on their website which I very much appreciate.

Great maca. This red maca tastes a lot milder and sweeter than the other two macas. The yellow (cream) and black maca have more of a bitter sweet flavor whereas this one is lighter on the palate. This root is great for balancing hormones in the body. It nourishes the endocrine system to restore your natural hormone production at it's optimal state. I highly recommend this for anyone. Athletes, pregnant mothers and people that have thyroid issues. It's a high quality maca at a premium.

I love this product so much. I have been suffering from Fibromyalgia/CFS for years, and I really rely on the Macs Team's Red Maca powder to help me get some control over my mental abilities and focus. I also find that it really helps my energy levels, and helps me to all around feel a little more like a person again. I try to take a day off every week, and I definitely know if I miss more than one day. It is an adaptogen, so it can sort of go where it is needed (to some extent) in order to help your body out.The taste can vary slightly from batch to batch, but no matter what it is DELICIOUS. I have it in my smoothies for breakfast basically every morning. It sort of has a really sweet almost Carmel flavor, but without that thick sort of earthy taste that I hate about Carmel. It really tastes amazing, and I cannot recommend that someone try this product enough. Omg this is difficult to swallow. I was undecided between the gelatinized Maca powder and the capsules, and opted for the powder after reading such good reviews and understanding that the flavor was similar to butterscotch which I really do like. But let me tell you, unless you are sprinkling the suggested daily amount in a very flavorful beverage,smoothie or soup, The taste is overwhelming and obscures the flavor of the food you're taking it with. It's way too powerful a taste for my morning oatmeal and I don't drink smoothies so for me this was not a good choice. However I firmly believe that this brand of marker is the best on the market and helps elevate hormonal levels. My husband is from Peru and he says that the locals consume maca all the time, it is a popular cultural supplement. So while I can't give more than three stars to my review, I am buying the capsules now and I'm sure I will be giving them a positive review.
