It has been almost two weeks, and I've noticed a significant change in my Vaginal health and bloating. I have not been craving any sweets whatsoever and have not been feeling bloated. However, I have not noticed a difference in my mental health. I'm unsure about the impact of stress, although it doesn't diminish its quality when I observe the changes. The value is worth it. I'm between the ages of 20 and 30. Therefore, I recommend these if you are looking for a well-rounded prebiotic with a positive impact on your overall well-being.

I'm a long time user of probiotics and recently had to take some antibiotics so I gave these Metagenics Ultraflora probiotics a try.This is a serious company dedicated to providing a great product. They pass all the criteria I look for when selecting a supplement. I have no way of knowing if these are working on me as we simply can't tell when taking probiotics. But I'm glad to have them to help re-build my gut heath after the antibiotics.

I guess these just aren’t the right strains for me? I became extremely agitated when taking this. I stopped the next day to make sure it was due to this probiotic, and then tried it again the following day. Once again, extreme agitation. It’s like i have the exact opposite reaction to what you’re supposed to have: High-stress and an irritated gut. Later in the evening i was just sad. For no reason.I hope these work for other people, but I guess they’re just not for me.

This UltraFlora Complete Women’s Probiotic by Metagenics contains five different probiotics. Each of the five is identified not only by genus and species (“Lactobacillus rhamnosus”) but also by strain (“GR-1”). This is key, as medical studies use named strains. Different strains within the same species sometimes have different effects.It costs the company more to buy licensed and named strains, but this guarantees that the probiotic’s quality will be high, and the effectiveness will be consistent.I recognize the list of strains from studies I’ve read. You can read studies for yourself on the US NIH national study database– just search for “pubmed GR-1” etc. These are all great strains with solid track records for health.Not only are licensed strains used, but the amounts of each are shown. Sometimes companies will say “proprietary blend of…” and use cheap probiotics with a sprinkle of expensive ones. But Metagenics says how much of each strain is included.Looking at the product itself, I notice that the probiotics come in a glass bottle; I prefer glass bottles because they are recyclable and don’t leach plastic into the contents. Most supplement makers don’t use glass anymore because it’s heavier to ship than plastic, and there’s a higher risk of breakage.Finishing my inspection… the bottle cap was covered with a “sealed for your protection” plastic overwrap. Under the cap was a glued-down Lift n’ Peel seal. The bottle is stamped with a lot number and expiration date. The expiry date is 5/26, or 18 months from date of delivery. The capsules are medium sized at about ¾“ long, and have a light tan powder inside. They have an extremely faint milky scent but no taste.Overall impression: A+
