The Night Vision Goggles are impressive, for night-time activities like camping. The night mode works exceptionally well, providing clear visibility even in complete darkness. While these may have the form factor of binoculars, they are used more like a video camera. What looks like the viewfinders are actually the camera lens (left) and the infrared illuminator (right). The other end is a color screen. The controls are easy enough to use to switch brightness levels, and turn sensitivity up and down. You can take video or photos and save them onto a MicroSD card. Battery life is very good. Night time sensitivity is good,but only if you have the IR light on to light the area. You can certainly pick out people and animals. The zoom is digital. The weak spots are evident mostly during the day, where there is a tendency to see things "washed out" with very little contrast. in my photo of the car, it was not possible to make out the license plate clearly on an overcast day.

For the price I wasn’t expecting much, however these goggles will definitely allow you to see into absolute darkness. Very impressed!

Living in a very wooded area with lots of wildlife, these night vision binoculars are a great nice-to-have device. For the price, these binoculars have many features. I like that it supports up to 32 GB SD card (provided), though more capacity would be better. You can store HD photos and up to 4K videos. You can access the SD card content either by the provided cable or by moving the card to another appropriate device. Selecting between taking photos and videos is done via the mode button. The third mode option provides access to the photos and videos on the SD card. It has a large (4.5”) 4K display, with an intuitive dashboard, showing status. One slight negative is that the display lights up your face. Therefore, there is no hiding. I like the 8x digital zoom that is effective for a long distance. It is effectuated by adjusting the left lens. The IR light is located on the right and has seven sensitivity levels via a button. When the unit is on, the controls light up in a soft blue. The case has an IP65 waterproof rating, and it is lightweight. The menu button brings up an extensive list of settings that you can adjust. It allows for setting the date and time, video and photo resolution, audio, display brightness, language, and others. The binoculars work well during the day too. So, this one device is usable 24 hours/day. A strap is provided but a carrying case with lens covers would be nice. The instructions are very good and understandable.
