I’m moving across the country to the mountains early next year and I’ve been stocking up on outdoor exercise/sport essentials, and I wish they had hand warmers like this when I was a kid skiing in the Northeast! I’ve spent plenty of time working and exercising in the cold weather and snow in the past, but I’ve been living in a warmer climate for the past ten years and so I’m a little out of the loop when it comes to gear. My father mentioned wanting a heated vest for Christmas, and I did not know those or USB rechargeable hand warmers existed - I haven’t needed them as much in the Deep South!This warmer is fantastic. It was easy to follow the little instruction manual to get it to turn on and to adjust the heat settings and light. One thing I did notice, was that the instructions say that it goes to “level 4”, but I can only get it to go to “level 3”. However, Level 3 is plenty warm enough and even a little too hot when I was holding it and learning how to adjust the settings.This will be essential to me next year. The last time I went on a cold-weather camping trip we improvised by pouring boiling water into our water bottles and keeping those in our sleeping bags to generate a little extra warmth - not the safest or easiest thing to do in a sudden ice storm.These charge easily and hold their charge very well. I have a small solar power charging bank that I got off Amazon that easily charges the hand warmer. I needed a solar power charger anyway to charge my phone when I’m hiking in the back-country, and I’m super stoked that it works well to charge this warmer as well. It also, of course, charges easily at home too using the cord included.

It has a beautiful floral design and even comes with a lanyard to wrap around your wrist so it doesn't get lost if dropped.It came with nearly a full charge so I could test it out. It was easy to turn on and adjust the settings. It warmed up quickly, and cooled down just as quickly once turned off. That could be a good or a bad thing depending on if the charge was low and you needed a little more warmth until you could charge it back up. I can't speak to how long it will last yet, but I do hope that it is a longer time should I need to use it for more than an hour.While I don't live in a cold environment (most of the time), I ordered this to be a part of an emergency kit should we lose power during a freeze.
