Easy to assemble alone, just make sure you have a drill or those screw will not go into the rods. Took me about 5 mins to put together. I have about 6 paperbacks and 3 hardbacks on it with room for prob one more.

Ok so I didn’t think much of this when I got it, but after it was put together and I put books on it, I absolutely love it. It is the perfect size for my desk. Excellent.

I don’t know who wrote the reviews saying this was easy to put together because it’s not. In fact it was impossible and I returned it. It came with a little screwdriver which I thought was cool because then I didn’t have to go find one that fit the screws. Well, it’s useless. Still had to find a screwdriver. Not that it mattered because the screws still wouldn’t go in. So then I tried a drill. Got one in. Got excited, thinking ok maybe this will work out. The next two wouldn’t sit flush. One of the other reviews said put Vaseline on the screws. Tried that. Didn’t do anything except get everything greasy. Idk. Maybe you’ll have better luck than me.

It came with a tiny screwdriver that served no purpose because there was no way to grip it with the strength needed. So assembly is not possible with the supplied toy sized tool. Once built, it’s a pretty sturdy and good looking table top bookshelf. I use it for kids books and it works well. I don’t think it was worth the money. Maybe a few dollars less was more acceptable.

This rack displays my books beautifully on the lower shelf of my foyer table, making the titles easy to read and creating a stylish look without the books looking like clutter. Very easy to assemble.

dis-appointing in quality of material

I had minimum space to store books and this shelf was perfect. I was able to place three side by side and they fit perfectly and are pretty strong for the price.

I had a few issues with this item. I ordered the coffee color, but got yellow. I'll give the benefit of doubt however as that could have been on me. When assembling the shelf, I noticed there were only two holes drilled into one of the sides so I had to drill holes in so I could put it together. The screws were tough to work with, some of them seemed to be stripped already and I can't tighten one screw on one side of the dowel all the way. Eventually I got it assembled and the size isn't bad but I don't have enough room for my last two books, that isn't the manufacturer's fault but it means I have to order another and I'm not sure I want to for two books. It's also not level, and rocks on a flat surface. Enough weight from the books will compensate though. It does look nice but I wasn't expecting to have to finish the piece when I got it.
