Quick Medical Terminology: A Self-Teaching Guide

This book is great for a refresher of medical terminology . The lessons are easy to follow and built to help the material really stick with you. The book did come a little damaged, but still usable.

Bought this book after being accepted into nursing school. This book is fantastic! Fit my learning style to a T! I learned SO MUCH. It's a step-by-step approach that builds upon itself in such a clear and logical way. I was very prepared for the initial class in school and owe much of that to this book. I cannot recommend it highly enough! If you need to learn medical terminology, this will do the trick!

I love this book. It made learning medical terminology easy. I liked the fact that learning the medical terms was made easy because once you learn the prefixes and suffixes putting the terms together was fun and educational. What I lilke the most was that the exercises made you think before writing down a response. The answers are provided in order for you to check your work. I really enjoyed learning and figuring out medical terminology. It's worth the price!

I need to learn the basics in medical terminology, it was enough to help me understand the terms I was read and required to understand when reading medical reports.

It includes the answers on each page, so you need to have a cover to hide the answers until you are ready to check your answers. It would be great if they included the covers. I would also make sure to put the answers on the outer side of each page. Every other page has the answers for that page next to the binding. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the answers were at the end of each chapter instead of on each page.Make sure to use pencil, so you can erase the answers and reuse the book. Definitely use them on the practice exams in the back of the book.

This book is great teaching tool to learn medical terminology. It is a self-teaching, programmed method that gives information with questions/answers following. It is a great way to learn. (It's how I learned health insurance and I've been "sold"--no pun intended!--ever since!). It even tells you when to take a break. It takes you one step a time. It also has anatomy/physiology commentary to give perspective to the terminology.

This book is perfect for someone in the medical field who needs a self-teaching guide to learning medical terms. It is designed as a comprehensive workbook in which the reader is constantly writing, creating new terms and taking practice tests and it is very easy to work through. I am in nursing school and this book has equipped me well.

A great book for a beginner in the healthcare field.

Terminology is great. However, there are issues with the book. Some answers are incorrect, and some of the "terms we've learned in this chapter" have never been reviewed like it mentioned. I was going to read this before nursing school, however I most likely won't as I don't want any confusion.
