4.5 Star Budget Blade
Awesome and interesting budget blade, and with speedsafe quick open, which is always nice. Arrived sharp, working well with screws tight and the blade is centered ( with a ceramic touch up it shaves ). Grip is great, fits my large hand just fine, the jimping on the back allows some better finger control and looks kinda cool and different . Im glad i got it for sure, even though its alittle beefy (wide) it doesn't interfere with grabbing something out of the pocket its in, ( hate that.. Edc breaker for sure). Ill update after some time and use.

Favorite Knife and a Head Turner
Spent everyday all day long for a month looking up and researching pocket knifes and this is what I chose. I absolutely love it. It's my favorite I've ever owned the look of it is fantastic the handle has good grip. The spped safe pantent is amazing. Clicks out and opens faster than anything I've had. The curve of the blade is perfect the length is nice and the weight is unbelievable. I've owned for over a year now and it's still holding up with minimal maintenance. Kershaw knows what they're doing. Everyone asks where I got it and how much and I tell them Amazon and less than $20. And it blows their mind. I show it off every chance I get and have yet to have someone tell me it's not great. Best purchase I've made and it's nice when I compare pocket knives with others and there $50-$100 kinfe isn't even on the same level as this one. Would buy again in a heartbeat if I were to lose this one.

Excellent Knife for the $20-30 range
The Kershaw Grinder is excellent for the price. The handle is comfortable; even more so if you can live without the pocket clip which is easily removed. The blade shape is an great slicer. The blade steel isn't exotic or a super steel but rather a high quality Chinese steel "4Cr13MoV". These types of Chinese budget steels have proven themselves time and time again from other knife makers as the perfect choice for people who want an above average steel that you can get extremely sharp with very little effort. I have no doubt Kershaw has given the blade a quality heat treatment post manufacture. I gave mine a few passes over my Tri-Angle Sharpmaker and it's now able to be used for shaving if one so desired. Lastly, much like the other reviewer here mine arrived a little stiff. I used a q-tip to remove the rather cheap looking gunky oil from the opening mechanism and added some quality lubricant and it snaps open and closed effortlessly now. Is it the perfect knife? Of course not, it's in the budget price range. So lets do a bullet pointed list! Pros: * Blade shape gives you more edge in less space. * Pocket clip lets you deep carry the knife. * Blade steel above average for this price range. * Flipper knives work for both left handed and right handed people. * Solid lockup when open - no horizontal or vertical wiggle. * Comfortable to hold and the back of the blade has jimping if you need to move your thumb to it to add pressure to your cuts. Cons: * Blade steel will require some sharpening every few months (easily done and relaxing). * A little heavy. * Pocket clip will cause hot spots on your hand after prolonged cutting. * I had to open and oil the knife to make it smooth. The pro's far outweigh the cons which is unusual in this price range. I'm really only knocking a star off because i had to open and oil it pretty much out the box.

Nice! Solid grip, excellent fit and finish
Mostly, I prefer the metal-handled Kershaws, but this Grinder feels as though it was made for me. The knife arrived Kershaw-sharp and the blade was centered. All of the screws were secure and the construction first rate, what I am used to from Kershaw. The modified sheepsfoot blade shape is very practical for opening packages and slicing vegetables (I know, I know. My adult kids give me a hard time for it, but I keep my pocket knives clean and sharp, so I don't hesitate to cut food with them) All around, a useful and pleasing design, well executed.

Good quality, edge retention, and ergonomic too boot, all at very reasonable $
This knife introduced me to quick opening and better edge retention (stays sharper longer) through the blade design and better steel formula. "Sheep's foot" design and slightly curved belly of knife design has good ergonomics. One of my very favs at a VERY reasonable price.(mostly cause it's last years model) Kershaw brand knives give good performance at very economical prices plus the quality is as good as much higher priced knife brands!

Kershaw Quality
I consider myself to be an above amateur knife enthusiast/collector/addict lol. I own knives made by Buck, Benchmade, Gerber, Ka-Bar, Kershaw, CRKT, Case, Schrade, and a few more. That being said, I love the quality of every Kershaw I own(which is 5). This one is a workhorse. From the the textured GFN handles to the reverse curvature and extended heavy jimping along the back of the blade, thisnknife just screams work. Throw in the Speedsafe assisted opening and a sturdy liner lock and you have yourself a worthy EDC. I've never had a complaint with a Kershaw wether it be imported or Made in the USA

Middle of the road for a knife for me.
Came sharp and with good action. Some small side to side blade wobble (less than 1/16 of and inch) which for me is acceptable for a knife at this price point. The blade is a little thin to not have thumb studs as closing the assisted opening is much more difficult to close one handed when there is not much blade for your index finger to take purchase of. I added a thumb stud and I like much more. The blade opening is very snappy which I was very happy with and better then other assisted Kershaws I have seen. Handle also feels great in the hands like most Kershaws I own the ergo is fantastic. Like deep carry pocket clip just wish I could have it tip up. The edge on this is great and easy to touch up the edge doesn't totally apex perfectly at the tip but I haven't seen a knife that does yet whether Chinese, Taiwanese, or American so I don't judge it but be aware that you might have to sharpen more often if you don't fix it. Great knife overall but small details that makes it middle of the road for me.
