Poor Quality Bulb
This bulb lasted maybe six weeks in our VW Passat. We have never had any lights on any vehicle of ours burn out after that little of use. I have been buying them for about 30 years now. I have since replaced it with a different company (Phillips) and absolutely no problems even with the many extra hours it has on it at this time. My point is here... it was not the fault of the vehicle running the bulb too hot. Either the quality control is poor or the company makes junk. I will not be buying from this manufacturer again.

Five Stars
This bulb and one just like it made all the difference. High beams shine at least 500 feet ahead.

Good Light
This lamp works well and is priced right. Ordered a couple more as spares... never good to drive with a headlamp out.

Melts Bulb Holder at end-life
every time this bulb burns out it melts the H7 bulb holder on a 2009 Mazda3. I replaced with a philips brand and it works on the melted oxidized H7 bulb holder. But i fear i will have to replace the H7 holder because Eiko H7 oxidized the contacts on H7 holder and thus the metal will have higher resistance which may lead to future problems or premature fail of replacement H7 bulb. A high quality bulb will have its filament burn out. A poor quality bulb will overheat its contacts and damage other components like its holder. I can affirm this because i bought a set of 2 eikos and the same thing happened to them both. I had to replace 2 H7 bulb holders because of damaged caused by Eiko. Attached is the photo of the damage.
