Part worked perfectly. Repair required the ifixit large suction cup tool, heat plate, heat gun and several guitar picks.

Works excellent. Solid connection. But, screwdriver that was supplied was too small. Screwdrivers not meant for this tablet. Its a small phillips. I believe I made the flat blade one to work..

While I would give the process of swapping the USB port a 0-star review, the product itself is great. I bought this after my son was brutal with his tablet, and it stopped charging. Removing the screen is no easy task - 30 minutes of abusing my wife's hair dryer, several choice words, and a few prayers that I didn't crack the screen, and I was swapping the port with ease (not sure if "with ease" is the right phrase after the chore of getting the screen off!). Once swapped, the device started taking a charge again. I sealed it back up (sealant not included), and away we went. Great price if you're handy with electronics. Would not wish the screen removal on those who don't know what they're up against.

My sons samsung tablet wasn't holding a charge so instead of buying a new tablet, we just replaced the port. It wasn't easy getting the screen off. We had to slowly use a blow dryer to loosen the glue. After we installed it, plugged it in and let it charge for a few hours. Good as new

My son wore his charge port out, was able to fix it pretty easily with this kit. Part fit just like OEM. Cheap fix. I recommend using a heat gun, suction cup and getting 1 corner up with a pick wedged in, then heat up while pushing the pick around the rest of the screen separating the glue. 4 screws to remove the hold down plate, use the plastic pry tool to disconnect the ribbon cable. Then resemble in reverse. I didn't use any extra glue, I just reheated the edges and pressed it back down. I also have the tablet in a full body case. Watch a yt video for instructions

Straight up doesn't work. Tablet will not charge and I'm positive the port was the issue as the previous port was getting loose and wiggling the cable would randomly start charging. It finally stopped charging at all so I ordered this useless thing. This one doesn't wiggle but it refuses to charge. I'm sure I did the repair correctly as I've replaced many screens, batteries, ports, etc. with phones, laptops and tablets. Down side is when you get little stuff like this it isn't worth driving to a UPS to send it back when it's only 9 bucks. Worst part was the 45 minutes taking off the screen carefully as not to crack it, and I couldn't find my heat gun so I had to use the wife's hair dryer. /sigh

Just installed and its charging again! We will see how the quality is longevity wise and will update if that is sub par. 3/22/26

Our tablet had the charger port damaged from our child, so I found this replacement to repair it. What a nice surprise to find the port was a separate install, no soldering needed! I had serviced the kids tablets before, so I was ready to tackle this one. Watched a repair video online, then followed the steps, and replaced it with this unit. After closing the screen to the case, fired it up on the USB charger, and everything worked exactly as it had previously. This is a good replacement, and it is also cost effective, since no store repair needed.

Llego en muy buen estado y esta funcionando muy bien. Me ayudo mucho pues no he tenido que reemplazar mi tablet 🙂
