I use a lot of different pillows to get comfortable at night due to arthritic conditions. But I noticed I didn't have anything that fit that curve in my lower back, or when on my side, the curve of my waist. I decided on this one because it seemed suitable if I rolled around and shifted position. I will say it does help a little, as I've noticed slightly less discomfort in that area when going to sleep, but I am a little disappointed in it too. It is not as arched as the picture makes it appear, and the material it is made of flattens it more. So the benefit only comes from having a smaller pillow in this specific area, not from any real sense of support. I won't return it because I didn't see another product that appealed to me any more than this one, but I would not buy it again, nor recommend it.

The pillow is well-made and might fit you. But for me, it is too thick to use as lumbar support for lying on my back in bed. It is also too long, about 23 inches, so even if it fit, it is way too big to take to a theater or use in the car while driving. It's large enough for a very, very large person. I'm a medium sized woman.

Product arrived quickly. It comes rolled up like a small foam log and after opening, and unrolled, I was initially confused. It appeared perfectly flat, yet the product picture showed an elevated wave in the middle. However after it sat opened and flat for an hour or so it gradually developed the raised spinal support area. I was doubtful such a humble looking piece of memory foam would be much help, but boy was I wrong!!! It stayed in place despite me sleeping on my back as well as my side. I am a very active 66 y/o 140 lb female that has experienced lower back muscle cramping for the last several months whenever I am in bed. My mattress wasn't the issue. I began wearing a back support whenever I did my heavy horse barn related chores, but STILL had the back muscle strain/pain...until I tried this product. Before this product, my back pain felt like a knife stab whenever I turned over in bed or tried to get up. Now it is gone. Its like magic. I honestly did not believe it would work this well. I would highly recommend this product!

Works really well, wether sleeping on your back or side. Good width.

I also use this as a knee support when laying on my side or need a bit of support under my knees when laying on my back. I have two of them by different maufacturers.

When I first received this product, I expected it to expand once I removed the vacuum sealing… It did not, and with how flat it was, I had very low expectations for this little pillow and assumed it would do no good. Much to my surprise, I was completely wrong! I have used this pillow every single day since I bought it and have had substantially lowered back pain throughout the day. It is extremely comfortable and as soon as I lay down I can feel the release of pressure on my lumbar muscles. I highly recommend this product and would absolutely purchase it again should I need a replacement or a back up.

This support cushion has been a game changer for me. After my heart surgery, the back ribs between my shoulder blades kept popping out of joint causing significant pain. Then a few months later I had a lower spinal fusion, which made things worse. I thought I’d give this a try to see if I could get some relief at night. Not only did I get relief, but the very first night I slept pain free. I’ve used it now for two weeks and my back ribs have gently popped back into place, the pain is gone and I’m sleeping all night. The memory foam is of good quality and it gives just the right amount of support and plumps right back up after use. It moulds to your back like a glove and feels natural. It’s an amazing product for anyone suffering with back pain. I also bought the half moon neck pillow. Highly recommend both products.

I had a spinal fusion 22 years ago from t4 to l4. I got this to put in the gap from my hip to my lower shoulder blade for when I sleep on my side. Unfortunately, it’s a little to thick. I see some people complaining of how thin this pillow is, but it is supposed to be thin. I wish it was a little thinner. I hope with some continued use it will flatten just a little. This also works well under your knees when you sleep on your back.
