A well know and widely planted viburnum cross. The original viburnum x burkwoodii was raised by messes Burwood and skip worth in 1924. A hardy evergreen, tall, fast growing shrub, it has dark green upper leaves with a grey, occasionally bronze underside of the leaves. Clusters of pink buds, opening to white, very fragrant flowers are produced from January to may. The flowers are quite striking in the winter/spring landscape. Viburnum x burkwoodii park farm hybrid is more vigorous and spreading than other viburnum x burkwoodii. Can be grown as part of a mixed planting, as an individual specimen, or in a pot or container. Use a good quality john inns compost as this plant will be there a long time and peaty types of compost eventually degrade and become too packed and choke the roots. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend osmoscote pro 12-14 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year. John inns is a soils based compost.

Black Knight Rising
Well packed, maybe a bit overkill on the size of box, loads of those packing peanuts which sprang everywhere when I opened the box much to the joy of the cats.Repotted in a slightly larger pot and sat on window ledge until there is some better growth, plant perked up after some watering but seems to be generally ok and healthy enough, time will tell and once I repot out in the garden
