Outdoor Photographer of the Year: Portfolio 1: Portfolio One

Some excellent photographs but there are some unbelievably appalling ones also. Some images that have made it to the pages of this book I would have instantly deleted in camera. I would seriously be ashamed to put my name to some of the trash here. I don't know what the judges were thinking when selecting them but I suspect they must have been given back-handers to promote them. If you have this book take a look at page 26 as an example, truly awful and devoid of any skill or talent.

A collection of images of a very high standard. Having collected a number of other portfolio series available I think this has a slight advantage in that the range of subject matter that can be covered under the description 'outdoor' is greater than that allowed by 'landscape' or 'wildlife' alone.Looking forward to volume two.

Beautiful book. Bought as a present for a photographer, to further inspire. A story could be written from each and every page.
