Why the Reformation Still Matters

Biblical, timely and important
Written in an accessible style (by the joint authorship Michael Reeves and Tim Chester) chapters review the heart of its subject: Justification, Scripture, Sin, Grace, Union with Christ, the Spirit, Sacraments and Church. I found the section on disciples of the cross in the chapter on Luther's theology of the cross provided pastoral implications. Erasmus' Greek NT is shown to correct the Vulgate's mistranslations of Matt 4:17 and Luke 1:28. Another chapter asks 'What difference does God make on Monday mornings?'

A great read, not just for why the Reformation was ...
A great read, not just for why the Reformation was so fundamental to Christian theology today, but an inspiring reminder of some of the foundational biblical truths that we do well to remember and live by today.

Very good
A very good overview of why the Reformation still matters today. A little heavy on the theology once or twice but no hesitation in recommending this as an excellent read.
