4 stars as it is what it is advertised to be. I think the grandchild will enjoy it when she has more exposure in class. On paper an equation is just numbers. But when you can physical see what 1/4 plus 1/3 is, the mind catches on better for visual learners.

The box holds everything nicely. The blocks snap together well.

This product is fantastic for homeschooling. Or just keeping you kids sharp on their fractions. We absolutely love it. My 5&7yr even play with it.

This is a great set. I'm sure it would be beneficial for many types of kids and useful in many types of activities. My fourth grader was ecstatic to get this set. He loves fractions. (He likes other "more normal" things, too. And there's nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about math...) He was excited to start learning about decimals and percentages, so he dove into this set, and is seriously already learning to convert and use them in real life, after only playing with this set a few days. He likes the activities on the wipeoff boards (and I appreciate two markers being included) and has also been using the blocks to figure out things on his own.Everything is durable, and I really appreciate how much fun he is having while learning on his own!
