Product Description The Roussillon Apricot Liqueur is part of the Giffard range of Premium liqueurs. This liqueur of great aromatic complexity is made from selected raw materials whose variety or origin is guaranteed, resulting in a balanced liqueur with rich and powerful fragrances. The smooth notes of the Abricot du Roussillon Giffard liqueur are a real invitation to travel. An ideal digestive liqueur for the final touch of a meal, it can also be consumed as an aperitif, with sparkling wine, or in cocktails. This liqueur is made at Giffard in Angers. Harvested by hand in summer, the apricots of the "Rouges du Roussillon" variety are then infused during maceration in alcohol. Starting from the success of the Mint-Pastille, Giffard has become a key house in the market of Liqueurs, Fruit Creams and Syrups. Over the generations, the company remains family-owned and its know-how is passed on. The range is expanding with new flavours and allowing new uses. Really good stuff. I use it in a Cuban Nacional cocktail: 50ml light rum, 15ml apricot brandy, 25ml pineapple juice, 15ml lime juice, 5-10ml golden sugar syrup, Angostura bitters (to garnish)

Nice and Fruity
A very enjoyable drink, on its own or as a mixer. Nice high alcohol content and a noticeably more intense apricot flavour compared to other brandies and liqueurs.

apricot nectar
The scent of this liqueur is heady with apricot and you know what you're getting for sure. Although initially rather sweet, it's balanced by a rich & full bodied apricot nectar with hints of the bitter-sweet almond kernal. I used to love apricot brandy, but haven't had it for quite a while - the description/reviews led me to believe this one would be a cut above in quality and it definitely is far superior to any that I'd had previously. It's gorgeous!

In Vergleich zu allen anderen mir verfügbaren Aprikosenlikören die ich probiert habe, schmeckt dieser sehr natürlich. Irgendwo habe ich die Beschreibung gelesen "Like a walk through an orchard full of ripe apricots" - ja, stimmt genau. Hervorragendes Produkt. Ich versuche noch eine Flasche Rothman & Winter Apricot Liqueur zu bekommen, da diese vergleichbar gut sein sollte, jedoch etwas "mehr wie Frühling" (was das immer auch bedeutet), um den Vergleich in einem "Flor de Jerez"-Cocktail zu bekommen (Death & Co Buch, Kaplan, Fauchald, Day, Seite 171). Der Giffard macht den Cocktail zu einem Genuss, so wie beim Starboard ([...]).
