This little book is full of information. Essential Oil uses and recipes for common ailments for your dog and cat. I just love this book! I have others, but this one is simple and to the point. Not a bunch of blah blah that some books get hung up in. We keep this out on the coffee table for quick use. And visiting friends find it very interesting. I also take this with me to all my essential oil classes. People love their pets and want the very best for them, including healthy alternatives to drugs. Get the book!

I read this book as I would a reference book, that is reading the necessary info and then researching for the particular challenge I’m faced with. In the book there are many references to various oil blends ie Digestive Oil Blend, Grounding Blend, Calming Blend..... Yet there are no specific recipes for these blends or a The brand essential oil the authors may be referring to. I have spent an hour going through this book in search of that info. So am dissapointed that it is missing. I downloaded this book via Kindle so wouldn’t know if it is in the hard copy. I have practiced aromatherapy for many years so can easily prepare my own and the recipes included are helpful. I just would like to know the specific components of the recommended blend, if this had been provided then this book would have rated 5 stars.

If you are into using essential oils for medicinal uses and have pets then this is the book for you. It focuses on cats and dogs and using doTERRA brand oils. I have used several protocols for my pets with success (ear mites, anxiety, allergies, etc) and have shared it with many for their pets. It's great to be able to treat your furbabies naturally. It's straight-forward and easy-to-read with lots of recipes including precautions and tips.

I have been using oils for over a year now, and swear by them for myself. I have used Peppermint and Lavender on my animals with fantastic results, but was cautious about using some of the blends and other more potent oils. So glad to have found a book that blends traditional veterinary medicine with the use of essential oils. This book includes the perspective of both; I appreciate that. I believe that it is important to blend homeopathic, eastern, and western medicine for my own health, and feel this is important for my cats and dogs as well. Thank you for an easy to read, and well-organized book to help keep my "fur people" as healthy as they can be!!

Unless I missed something, several of the essential oil recipes in this book refer to using oils either pre-season blended by another company or trying to find your own recipe for "protective blend" or " calming blend", etc. I looked all through the book again as I was sure they wouldn't give me a recipe, only to find that 1 of the ingredients is a pre-made EO blend I have to buy somewhere. I have my own individual oils and want to make these pet remedies myself. There are definitely some recipes in this book I can put to use and the book is very informative.

The Kindle version of this book is useless. The only way to change pages is to go to "Location" and type in the location of the next page - and you have to remember which page you're on because after you've read a given page, "Location" always tells you you're on "Location 2" when, in fact, you might be on "Location 10".

I must have gone through this book 20 times, if not more. I'm using it as a cross reference to The Essential Life, as the oils are descried differently in each. Not a bad thing...actually it opens the options up better. As a new user of essential oils I was quite nervous about my first couple of applications as the book is very informative about dosage and what, but fails to state WHERE you put the oils. That would have been most helpful. No complaints about this book, it's great!

I bought this book because of the great reviews. I, however, have clearly missed something here. When looking up a condition, there are references to "respiratory blend," "digestive blend," etc that are not in the recipe manual itself. The book covers a wide variety of illnesses, but is much less useful because I do not know what is in these blends in order to use them for my cat.
