Quiet and fast!
This little ice maker is quiet and fast. It has a small foot print. I bought it for our motorhome. As soon as we got it, our refrigerator went out. It saved our bacon and our life. You will love it.

Small Footprint, Lots of Ice
This is a great option for those without an ice maker in the fridge or if you need extra ice for a party or travel. The unit's size is excellent - it is about the same size as my bread machine - and it fits nicely on the countertop and the lid opens fully to scoop out the ice without hitting the upper cabinets. The unit makes ice super fast - large cubes take about 7 minutes. The holding area for finished cubes is quite large and holds plenty of ice to fully fill a 20 ounce cold cup. The bullet-shaped ice is great for everything from drinks to filling coolers for a day out and the unit pumps out ice like crazy - you can easily get enough to fill a standard cooler if you start collecting the cubes a day or two before your outing and bagging them (I use gallon zipper bags for convenience and then throw them in my big freezer until I need them). The compressor is quite quiet and you get quickly used to hearing it periodically turn on and off. If your home is completely silent you may hear the ice hitting the basket after it is made throughout the day, but I only really tend to notice it late at night and it's not really loud at all. I do have hard water, so I only use bottled spring water in the unit to avoid gunking up the mechanism, and it works great. I use a lot of ice, so I dump in maybe two 16.9 ounce bottles of water a day. I use room-temperature water since the unit cools and freezes the water itself. Overall, this is a great unit for anyone who uses a lot of ice, often needs to fill a cooler with ice and doesn't want to constantly purchase ice, or even someone traveling in an RV - it makes tons of ice quickly and easily.

Easy to use and works perfectly
This ice maker is very easy to use, and it works quickly. It takes about 6 minutes from turning on to create 6 of the small sized ice cubes, and about 8 minutes to make 6 of the large sized ice cubes (I have attached a picture to show the size difference). This is an awesome product for small get togethers or for yourself if you want to bag the ice and throw it in your fridge. Whatever application you are considering, this is a great product to have. 6-8 minutes for 6 pieces of ice may seem slow, and it won't help you in a pinch if you suddenly need a bunch of ice for people, but if you get it going before a gathering or keep it running in the background, its steady ice production does the job. It's also not too large and its very quiet. You just barely hear the fan running and every 6-8 minutes you will hear the small clanking of the ice dropping into the ice tray. This product also comes with a small plastic scoop. It has a small drainage port at the bottom for draining out any excess water, and has a fill line under the ice tray that shows how much water to add to the device. Overall, I am very satisfied with it and will be using it often for when people come over. I recommend it highly. Hope this helps!

Does the job well.
I've seen these type of ice makers before and frankly, didn't expect much. I was so very pleasantly surprised. The setup is quite easy (take out of box, add water, plug in, enjoy ice.). This made a lot more ice, quickly, than I expected. While each batch is small, it makes ice every six minutes until the bin is full. If you empty the bin and put the ice in your freezer, you'll have quite a bit of ice in no time. We have a built in icemaker in our refrigerator which is great, BUT... during the summer we can use up the ice and it takes quite some time to make more ice. This make ice so relatively quickly that we can supplement with very little effort. If you dont have an ice maker, this will do the job for you. It works best when you keep it indoors, rather than outside where it's warm. The refrigeration unit is dedicated to making ice, not to keeping the ice cold in a warm environment once it's made. This features a "smoked" clear lid for a quick visual check of the ice level, an infrared beam to sense when the ice bin is full and a handle for easy portability. I recommend this unit. I thinks it' good value for the money.

Save the ice cubes frequently
This has proven to be a godsend for us. Our automatic icemaker in our refrigerator failed the day before I saw this item. With this, we can postpone replacing the icemaker as long as we want. It turns out ice at a very brisk clip. Once the ice tray is full, it will shut off until you empty the basket. Therein lies the only thing about it that keeps it from getting 5 stars. The storage area is not chilled below freezing, so as your ice cubes are stored, they are at the same time melting. The other thing about it is when it runs out of water, there is still a significant amount left in the reservoir. So you will need to dispose of the leftover water. However, once that is done, the label on the icemaker recommends that you leave it off for 24 hours to allow the refrigerant to settle. These are significant issues, but for our use relatively inconsequential. We simply make up enough ice in one day to fill the ice tray in our freezer (around 10 pound of ice), which is enough for us for about 2 days worth.

No More Buying Ice!
I recently purchased the Silonn Ice Maker and overall, I am quite satisfied with my purchase. This countertop ice maker is portable and convenient, making it perfect for use at home, in the office, or at parties. The machine is very easy to use and produces ice in just 6 minutes. The bullet-shaped ice cubes are a good size and the machine can produce up to 9 pieces of ice per cycle. The ice scoop and basket are also included, which is a nice touch. I also appreciate the self-cleaning feature of the machine. It makes cleaning the ice maker a breeze and ensures that the ice is always fresh and free from any contaminants. However, there are a few downsides to the Silonn Ice Maker. Firstly, the machine can be quite noisy when it's producing ice. Secondly, the ice basket is a bit on the smaller side, so it may not be sufficient for larger gatherings or events. Overall, I would give the Silonn Ice Maker a 4/5 star rating. It's a great option for those who want a portable and convenient way to make ice at home or on the go. While it does have a few downsides, the ease of use and self-cleaning feature make it a great value for the price.

Awesome portable Ice Maker!
This portable ice maker from Silonn is awesome! The description on making ice fast in around 6 minutes is accurate, however, the first ice bullets the are cycled out are a little thin compared to the much better and thicker ones that are cycled out after that first batch, they definitely thicken up. After filling the reservoir to its max line, it produced two basket fulls. The ice machine is fairly quiet, the handle is sturdy and practical, and the body feels solid and long-lasting. The ice scoop that comes with the unit is nice, but I think the handle is too short for my hands. For the most part the ice maker keeps the ice frozen in the basket, inside the unit, however, after about an hour or so, the ice at the bottom of the basket slowly melts back into the reservoir shifting the ice on top and clearing the ice full sensor, engaging the ice making process again while maintaining a full basket. This is a great ice maker! Very practical for travel trailers, camping, picnics, or beside your home bar. Because of its portability I have plans to take it fishing and camping with me, of course you will need a power source from a power inverter, camper, or solar generator. Excellent value, lots of benefits, especially at this price!

Well made and looks nice on the countertop!
We have this on the counter in our camper, and it is SUCH a blessing! Two things I miss when camping, are my wash machine, and ice maker. This helps make life easier, because it's hard to keep up with the ice needs of 6 people, plus extra for filling coolers for outings. This machine is heavy, and solidly constructed, but with the handle, it is easy to move. I like the suction cup with hook, for the little scoop. After seeing that idea, I wish my GE Opal ice maker had such, I may figure a way to do that myself. The machine itself does make noise, but we're a large family, so it's not noticeable to me. The matte black finish of the appliance is very pleasing, aesthetically, and I think it looks just fine sitting out on the counter. It's no larger of a footprint really than our coffee maker. My only critique, and it's purely based on personal preference, is that I prefer nugget ice to the bullet ice, but that's if I'm nitpicking. I'm very pleased with this!
