This magnetic balls have some serious weight to them -- and really good magnetic pull as well. They stick to each other really well, and they also easily stick to any magnet-friendly surface, like refrigerator doors, steel peg boards, wire shelving, etc... So even if you're not going to use them as a fidget-toy/stress relief, they cool-looking general-purpose magnets as well.After playing with them for a little while, I've found that the glossy, metallic coating on them is already starting to get a bit scratched and scuffed looking -- so I wonder how long the coating is going to last, and what these will look like in a few months if they're getting fidgeted with a lot. Hopefully they still look cool even once they're more scratched up. I figure the magnetism should at least stay strong, if nothing else, and whatever they're made out of (are they metal? I guess?) seems to be very durable, because I just accidentally dropped one on a concrete floor and it didn't dent or crack at all.

I literally have barely been able to put these down since I got them. Even my kids grab them anytime they come into my office. The spheres are heavy in your hand and the magnets are surprisingly strong. To give you an example of what I mean, you can hold the entire string by one ball and they hold very well. Due to their shape, though, they will not pinch your hand as you fidget with them as they only connect with each other via a very tiny point.They are not quiet, however, and make a satisfying clack noise as they come together, so they are not good for a quiet setting or when you need to not bother others. The clack can be very loud and my wife can hear them on the other side of the house.Still, they are one of the best fidget toys I've ever gotten and I love the set!

These are bigger than you'd think and heavier as well.They are fun to flip in my hand but the magnetism is very specific on each ball and therefore makes it tough to do other things with it besides just flip it or pyramid it.That being said it is very satisfying to flip, if you can fit them in your hand well enough (again, they are really big.)They also come in a nice case.
