Very sturdy yet easily carried.

I have other ladders but just needed something simple to work at ceiling level when I need to change a bulb or smoke alarm battery, etc. Getting to the point where I don't like the instability of standing on a chair.Just got this. I'm a big guy and this seems very sturdy. It was a little more expensive than similar ladders but is supposed to hold 500 lbs. I'm not nearly that heavy but the extra capacity makes for a very solid-feeling ladder. I don't feel any flex or creaking, though it does make a bit of a clunk when you step on the first step and it locks in place. It also has a nice rubber pad on the part you carry it by or might lean against and it folds very easy.

At age 79, getting up on a ladder can be tricky. One slip is serious.But, this is a sturdy, lightweight ladder with real rails that’s easy to open and position, and allows me to get to the top shelves safely and confidently!Especially good when alone for DIY chores.

Fully assembled. Opens and closes easily. Height is great for reaching high cielings. I feel safe on it. It is very sturdy. Meets my expectations. I am considering buying another. Happy with this purchase.
