Brilliant for the price
Great lead, little to big for a puppy I walk, but great for other dogs I walk, for the price it's well made and a good length

Well made and priced
Not suitable for my little dog - too heavy had to return. Seemed very sturdy and well made but didn't actually use it

Nice reflective slip lead
I was looking for a nice slip-lead for my dog, and this one fits the bill! At 1.8m, approximately 6 foot, it allows the dog a good range of movement, has a nice handle at the human end and is reflective - perfect for these winter nights to help you be seen on the road. Overall, a great lead!

Nylon material feels a bit abrasive but works okay. not sure how long the handle would last
Firstly the price, its £7.99 which is excellent value these days, I've recently tested some in the £10-15 region and that seems commonplace now.I like the idea of a figure of 8 leash but I think I'd prefer something going over the dogs nose to be a bit softer, this is nylon and whilst it seems very sturdy indeed its a touch firm, I want to keep my dog under control without it causing any pain or distress this might' be a bit to firm for my dog. Whilst my dog (A Weimaraner) is 5 he is a bit of a puller and I could see this being a little too firm on the nose. You may have a different view but in my case this is the case. Also, the hand grip whilst very comfortable I cant see the padded section lasting too long, my dog has already had it down the garden and if he discovers the handle it'll be gone in a flash. But, its £7.99 it does the job, yes I'd prefer it to be softer but as a back lead for me its perfect.

Nicely designed and made lead
Slip leads are a great training tool, but they can easily be misused. They shouldn’t be used in a way that the dog gets choked when he pulls or when you try to correct behaviour. This lead has a buckle to adjust the size of the loop so that it can’t tighten around the dogs neck, of all the slip leads I have used only one other had this excellent safety feature. The other problem with a slip lead is that it can inadvertently become too loose and your dog can “slip” out of it! Again this is addressed by a toggle on this lead which is easily moved and positioned to make the loop just the right size. This is not a unique feature many slip leads have this but not all, so it’s good that it’s there. At the other end of the lead the handle has a foam padding around the handle loop. This makes it a lot more comfortable to hold compared to leads without the foam. The loop is a generous size to put your hand through and still be comfortable. The only other lead I have used with a foam handle had a small loop and it was almost impossible to hold, but not this one!Between the handle and the loop there is also a foam handle, this is movable along the length of the lead to get the perfect position. There is a second toggle to help maintain the handle’s position. This makes holding the lead with both hands more comfortable, but if you need to give a tug to check your dog the handle slips, making your tug less effective and giving you less control. The lead is made from 10mm diameter “climbing” type rope and so is very strong.A very good lead at a good price.

Much more substantial than I was expecting
I normally walk my dog each day for a couple hours ( not at the moment as broken my fibula) . There has been more than one occasion ( more than you would imagine ) when I have come across a lost dog up the woods and have needed a spare lead and needed a slip one to 'catch ' them with . So when I got offered this to review was very pleased . Not had the chance to use it yet but no need to , to be able to review it . The quality of it was a huge surprise as it says for medium dogs but its a really substantial lead. Its really quite thick and looks and feels really well made . The handle is lovely and spongy to hold and so is a part of the loop bit that would be near the dogs neck . I think this lead is going to be more than adequate for dogs past medium size too . I have a golden retriever and would suit him perfectly . The reflective part of it works well too although not sure why you really need it apart from maybe making it easier to see you if you were pavement or road walking. As I mentioned it is quite substantial so if you are looking for a lead that you can fold up and put in your pocket then think this would be too big . But for normal dog walking or to hang round your neck like we do then its great . Good value as well

Works ok
Love the bright reflective material, and while I'm not a fan of slip leads this seems to work ok. it's nicely made, too. Reasonably comfortable on the hand.
