Review: Perfect for Gaming/Discord. - Just a disclaimer that I am by no means a microphone or audio connoisseur. This mic is actually my very first external one used primarily for gaming/discord chats. Really really simple set up procedure, just one cable that's all, the software you get is basic enough but you can still do a lot with it. Great features in thge software with good background noise cancellation, pop filtering and a high pass filter if you require. This along with all the audio features in discord then the mic acts brilliantly. I am that annoying guy that usually has background music coming through his mic in the chat while we are all trying to play a game haha but I was pleasantly surprised with this as the noise cancellation and the correct adjustments to gain, my chat could not hear any background noise whatsoever, whether that was my music, football on the tv or the rattling of my mechanical keyboard so that was a big big plus! The design is fairly basic but clean enough and slick, the green isn't my favourite colour but if that's one of my main comlaints I guess the mic itself does a great job. The sound quality is fantastic and I really do love the mute button located on the body/casing of the mic, its a flat non-press button so a simple tap is enough, I just wish the light indicator was a little better because it's almost impossible to tell if you're on mute or not at a simple glance, unless maybe if you're in the dark. Overall, I am delighted with the purchase and I can not reccomend this mic anymore, especially for the price. Brilliant value.

It’s quite literally plug and play. Although be mindful that the box comes with a usb c to usb c connection. I had a spare cable that let me plug into my old USB slot but worth remembering in case you don’t have one. Once plugged in you should download the Shure app in order to have a proper look at the microphone and enable/tweak settings. The little stand it comes with is also great, although I wish it had the ability to adjust height. I will say though that it feels sturdy and is made of metal which in my eyes is a plus. Due to the nature of this kind of microphone (dynamic), you don’t need to worry too much about sound isolation or noises nearby, but you do need to speak closely into the microphone in order to get the best sound from it. After recording few samples, I was really surprised with the quality of it. It’s not perfect, but is completely on par with a lot of the voice recordings you’ll hear on YouTube videos. You get a full sounding voice and sounds far more professional than recording from your laptop or phone. I’ve tried this on Mac and Windows without issue too. I would recommend this for most people, especially if they don’t want to have a massive microphone stand setup or a mixer to deal with.

**Q: Can I use a different stand, such as a boom arm with the MV6?**
A: Yes! The MV6 is fully compatible with standard mic mounts. The MV6 comes with a desktop stand in the box, and is compatible with any 5/8” stand of your choosing. You will need a 5/8” to 3/8” adapter for 3/8” stands.

**Q: Can I use the MV6 with my iPhone or iPad or Android Phone?**
A: Yes! The MV6 is MFi approved so it will work just fine on USB-C iPhones and iPads. The same goes for USB-C Android phones.

**Q: Do I have to download MOTIV Mix in order to use the MV6**
A: If you want full control of your MV6 and the ability to customise settings, we recommend you download MOTIV Mix. However, the microphone works without it, with Auto Level Mode, Real-time Denoiser and Digital Popper Stopper already enabled from new.

**Q: Can I use the MV6 to record vocals?**
A: Yes! Although the MV6 is tuned for speech (podcasting, streaming, calls), it can be used for recording vocals (and instruments). For non-speech use, we recommend turning off the speech DSP (Auto Level Mode, Real-time Denoiser, Digital Popper Stopper)
