As someone who grew up with family that canned my entire childhood, you'd think I would know how to can. I know the basics but never tried as an adult because the thought of so many tools pushed me away. This digital canner is amazing! So easy to use. There is a great manual, but they also include a wonderful "quick start" guide that is laminated! Everything fits tight, the process is smooth. 100% success rate so far with jars sealing. It is a heavy machine, but it works well and I have zero complaints. Will definitely be used for years!

Hands down, a must have if you’re canning at scale. No guesswork, no worries stepping away and getting side tracked, no timers or forgetting what time you started. All digital, safeguards in place, worry free canning processes with this unit whether water bath or pressure canning. Quality product. I received quickly a week and a half ago and have already canned over 60 jars. Highly recommend if you have the money to spend. No question it will change the way you look at canning. Has a decent beep between each step that is easy to hear even with some background noise. It holds a nice amount of canning sized jars for each batch. The value is there for the cost if you can a lot, could not justify it for a once a year canner. Some of the safeguards in place may get annoying as the warming of the jars. Cannot skip this process if you are heating in another pot. However this will keep your jars warm at the proper temp while you prepare, a bit of a give and take for the other conveniences.

I really love this electric pressure canner. I can on a regular basis and hate having to babysit my stovetop model. I was nervous to use it but it's so easy. It warms the jars, tells you when it's time to fill, tells you when to put the regulator on and tells you when it's done. I like that it also a water-bath canner. It's a really large machine, but has allowed me to eliminate my steam canner, water bath pot and pressure canner, if I choose. I post what I can on different social medias so I hope others see and give this a try. It's worth the cost for sure!

I love this electric pressure canner. I had never pressure canned anything but really wanted to be able to can homemade broth or spaghetti sauce with meat in it. I was worried about a traditional pressure canner on my glass cooktop so bought this and absolutely no regrets! It's so easy to use as it tells you what to do at each step and gives the exact amount of time to set for what you're canning in the booklet it came with. I have canned broth, beans and spaghetti sauce using the pressure function and just used it on the water bath setting for jam and that did great as well. This is well made and has held up so far.

I've never pressure canned but wanted to try it. This Presto Precise 17 QT electric canner is AWESOME !! Yesterday I tested with just water, no lids, and learned the routine. EASY and worked flawlessly. Today, I canned 5 qts of overnight soaked (red, black, white) beans with some home smoked (cooked) pork loin bacon. It came out AWESOME! All 5 jars sealed. :D I immediately followed up with some chicken bone broth and meat I had been simmering 24 hours or so. The meat was cooked then separated from the bones and added back afterwards the long broth simmer. Those 5 qts sealed flawlessly. The Presto Precise 17 qt electric canner is AMAZING ... for a noob at least. EASY and no worries.

There was definitely s learning curve to using this but I absolutely love it! It makes canning either by water bath or pressure canning so easy. My initial problem seems to have been not tightening the lids more than usual.

Be warned that this is tall! I'm short, so I have to stand on a step stool to get the hot jars in and out of the canner. Otherwise, I love the canner. My first time using it , I found out that it heated the jars faster than I expected. Fortunately, it keeps the jars warm while I finished the prep of the fruit. The prep was the hardest part of the process! The display tells you what to do, and when to do it. There's an instruction book with recipes, but also a quick guide with an explanation of error codes. Expensive, but so worth it to not have a hot kitchen when you don't have air conditioning, and to not spend your time watching a wiggle weight/regulator!

I have used both the pressure canner and water bath functions. Easy to use. Follow instructions step by step. It is heavy which tells me the quality is great.

Arrived insanely fast. The canner itself is amazing and super easy to use. Pretty much a set and forget in comparison to tradional types. I wish I had five of these things

OMG what a game changer!!! I recommend this 100%. I have a gas cooktop and my presto pressure canner was impossible to regulate. This electric pressure canner is so amazing, it makes canning a breeze.

It sure takes the fear out of pressure canning. It’s a bit pricey but works good

Tried to buy the 12qt size but it was unavailable. Very happy I went with the 17qt size considering the amount of canning that we do . This product does double duty as Pressure Canning or Boiling Water Canning. Have used both systems, in this canner. Product is excellent. Very sturdy, and easy to follow instructions for use. Very pleased with this purchase.
