Brilliant overnight back for further away trips
3 or 4 times a year, I'm required to go away for work, involving flights across Europe. I'm fed up of lugging a wheeled case and as ridiculous as it sounds, always struggled slightly with the anxiety knowing the possibility the airline will inevitably request you put said wheeled carry-on in the hold, delaying the journey. So I figured I would get a backpack. I also purchased the Osprey liquid bag to match. First thing to note, is the quality of the bag in general and particularly the robust zips. It's comfortable on my back, the adjustable / moveable front strap is helpful to take pressure off the shoulders and the meshed back padding prevents your back from overheating. Yes, there are cheaper alternatives, however, you tend to get what you pay for and in this instance, it's an incredibly well thought out design that allows you to put everything to hand, organised. This has a top pocket perfect for keys, passport, small electronic devices like power banks, earphones, headphones amp etc. With individual pockets within, designed to hold them in place so they don't fall out when opening, very useful for when you're at security. Also, side pockets for gloves, hats, water etc. Another larger front pocket, which I found perfect for the liquids bag, again, so you can pull it out quickly at security. a rear laptop bag, which doesn't necessarily fit the power adapter, however, this went in the larger front pocket. Bearing in mind I used this most recently to travel to Germany, in the depths of winter (under lots of snow) The main compartment fitted, shoes, all clothes, a shirt, suit jacket with the room required on the way back for a very large pair of military boots and the previous days clothes. I'm confident, outside of work, in summer and with only the requirements for shorts, t-shirts, trousers and a jumper in case, I could probably get a week's worth of clothes in here and have a hassle-free trip at the airports. It was commented on by my colleagues how I appeared to be travelling so light with only one bag, yet still managed to look the smartest the next day with a suit and smart shoes that no one was expecting me to be carrying alongside everything else such as notebooks, laptop etc. Without the military boots on the return, it just squeezed under British airways seats, on the return, it went overhead with no issues. I'm so impressed with the brand, I'll likely buy a smaller pack for same day travelling and a Bergen for multiple day camping.

The cadillac of under seat bags.
I have a couple Osprey bags and consider the Hikelite 18 to be the best active lifestyle daybag, full stop. Unfortunately it's too long to meet the under-seat 40cmx30cmx20cm limit of the most strict budget airlines. Among travelling consultants, the daylite travel has the reputation as the cadilac of carry ons, and I can happily say it exceeds expectations. This bag is perfect for one bag under seat travel. Happily meets RyanAir's strict size limits (even when slightly overpacked) and has tons of thoughtful design features. Secure internal zips, internal key lanyard, expandable frame, breathable back section, adjustable straps, and zippers which fit carabiner locks for travel to more unsavoury locations where pickpockets roam about. The quality is as to be expected from Osprey - exceptional throughout. Zips are sturdy and secure with the outer synthetic fibre being slightly rain resistant and tear proof. Mesh water bottle pockets on both sides and luggage straps on two sides with a sliding pocket for putting onto a suitcase handle. Osprey once again leading the pack when it comes to justifiably high price and high quality bags. Would wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend.

Well-Designed Pack with Excellent Comfort
Fantastic pack! Lightweight, comfortable, and extremely versatile—perfect for travel. Plenty of organised compartments for water bottles, gadgets, and essentials, and the back panel and straps are well-padded for all-day comfort. Durable construction and high-quality materials mean it can handle frequent use without wearing down. A reliable pack that combines practicality with style.

Perfect backpack for traveling
I am a big fan of the Osprey products. This backpack is simply amazing. The quality is great, it is very spacious and it is very convenient as you can expand it and you get extra 6 liters. The fabric is durable and I love that it has a laptop compartment. The only downside is that the laptop compartment isn’t separated/doesn’t have a designated pocket, but overall the backpack is great. I keep recommending it to all of my friends.

Pros and Cons but Happy Overall. I like the medium size.
Pretty happy with the bag, been indecisive about it for a while but the size is good for many European airlines if you don't pack it to the max (wizzair and Easyjet I tested) and definitely safe as a proper carryon. Some cons: - the bottle pockets seem to lose my bottle a lot, I've attached a carrabiner onto the compression strap to solve this (as I don't like doing it up all the time), -no waist belt (I bought a £5 attachment from Vaude which works perfectly). - no hidden side pockets for passport for example (the top front pocket is nice, but the lower one is kind of too deep without any visability, to save losing things I actually put my little herschel sling bag there (top open) and store things bag in bag which works well. Pros: - seems very high quality, especially at this price point, I have no doubt in the zippers. - comfortable to carry (and I have a bad shoulder so that's saying something) I haven't packed it super heavy but then I would use a different bag for that kind of load. -good size- like I said, works for most airlines as 'personal item' but all as carry on. Can travel with it for a month but also doesn't look out of place as an every day bag- fits all my gym and daily stuff in it. Love th suitcase style opening.

Exactly what you’d expect from Osprey
This is one of the best personal item backpacks for air travel with lowcosters. Exactly what you expect from one if not the best backpacks manufacturers in the world. Pros: 1. It’s super lightweight. This is especially crucial for air travelling if lowcosters not only measure your personal item, but also weight it. It’s also crucial during the actual trip, as you’re carrying less weight on your back. 2. Highly practical. Lots of compartments: one for clothes/gear, one for laptop/ipad, one for keys, pens, cards, etc. 3. Expandable storage (+4 liters): comes handy if you need to bring extra shopping to your hotel room. 4. Durable materials. Osprey offers lifetime warranty and honestly, their backpacks are made to last. I had 4 different models over the last 15 years, and I only changed them because I wanted something new. 5. Comfortable and adjustable straps. Comfortable back. Things that would be great to see: 1. A private compartment for documents. 2. More settled down colours. Not everyone likes scouty bright ones, and black is also too boring.

A great travelling companion
I bought this item, as my existing cheap backpack gave up the ghost after several years (zips failed). My wife advised that I should replace with a more robust and quality alternative. After rafts of research, I decided upon this particular backpack and whilst initially hesitant due to the cost, having received and used the backpack, both for an overnight stay (UK) and a 6 day short break (Europe) I can say that I am very impressed and happy with my purchase. The backpacks materials and build are robust and look and feel quality and as a result, it looks like it will last. It is very lightweight and comfortable, even when fully packed and I had no issues with discomfort whilst travelling with it. The backpack also fit perfectly under the seat on the aeroplane I recently travelled on and has a good selection of pockets for various items outside of the main storage compartment, the ability to expand this part of the backpack also came in handy to accommodate the extra bits and bobs I picked up during my trip. As stated, I am very pleased with this item and look forward to getting many years of service from it and as a result would not hesitate to recommend.

Excellent bag perfect for airline underseat storage.
Fantastic bag that’s just perfect for airline “underseat” storage. I love that the zip goes all the way around so you can open it up fully like a suitcase. Perfect day pack size, roomy enough but not too bulky. Loads of pockets but not so many that you lose things. Even better if you use packing cubes, so that all your stuff doesn’t get all jumbled up and you don’t have to rummage around to find your book or phone charger.

Best travel bag
This is my favourite travel bag that I have tried. Easy access to multiple pockets and no digging to the bottom of the bag to find my stuff. Feels like great quality and lightweight too.

My favorite backpack I've ever owned
I recently picked up the Daylite 44L backpack, and I have to say, it is AMAZING. The size is spot on – I can easily pack a week’s worth of clothes and still have room for my computer or tablet, chargers, cables, and toiletries. It’s perfect whether I’m heading out for a weekend or longer. The materials are really high quality, so it’s resistant to tears and even light rain, which is super reassuring. Plus, the design is great with lots of pockets and compartments to keep everything organized. One thing I love is the compression straps. They make it so easy to squeeze everything down and make the most of the space. And it’s TSA compliant for carry-on, which is a huge plus for traveling. The comfort is also great. The shoulder straps are very well padded and they and the waist strap can be tucked away to avoid dangling straps when you need to squeeze it into an overhead bin or want to carry it more like a duffel bag. I went with the black color, but it’s actually more of a really dark gray, and it looks really sleek. Overall, I’m super happy with the Daylite 44L backpack. It’s definitely one of the nicest backpacks I’ve ever owned, and I’d totally recommend it if you’re looking for a reliable and versatile travel bag. It's priced at $140, but Amazonnsometimes has it on sale making it closer to $120. At that price, it's a steal.

DUFFLE NERVANA
Imagine a significantly large sized duffle bag that can hold a bunch of stuff, but it’s not excessively large that it becomes unmanageable. It can be carried in four different way…backpack, over the shoulder, duffle, or by two comfortable padded grab handles that have aeration on the inside…go figure! Its large side zip pocket is full length and includes a comfortable to use key clip. Its end zip pocket has an interesting deep design, which creates almost a hidden area…did they really design it that way? How did this sweet perfection of the perfect duffle bag happen. Was is some think tank of people without an agenda. And at what point do you stop and say, “we have created the perfect duffle”, or should we try to make it better? Ok, it doesn’t have a good water bottle storage solution, but who cares, modern water bottles do not leak so I just throw mine inside the cavernous interior.

Tough canvas and heavy-duty zippers that handle aggressive travel perfectly
I picked this bag up for my trip to Las Vegas for EDC week, and it held up remarkably well to being tossed around the airport. It fits a massive amount of clothing, and the wide opening makes packing and digging for items very easy. The shoulder strap is heavily padded, which is a lifesaver when you have to haul it across a massive casino floor. The canvas material is thick and highly resistant to scuffs or tearing. It is a fantastic, rugged duffel bag for any kind of travel.
