I was looking for something that was more solid, that would hold up well, and that would protect my wrist, which I have injured previously. These are perfect for that. I'm a bigger guy; these are large straps. If you are looking for wrist straps that are incredibly tough and will offer maximum support, this is it! I would not buy these if I were a smaller-framed individual, as I feel that these would extend down a long way on their wrist.
