I honestly ordered this for other reasons. I do use this to open mail sometimes, and it works great for that, but it's not the real reason I ordered this mini sword. I ordered it to use in my hair, and it looks so cool when I wear it. It makes me feel a tiny bit like all the awesome fantasy female characters I read in books. The sword is well made and pretty sturdy. Though you will have to watch out for the very tip of it because that part is a little sharp and pokey. Since I use this for my hair, the size is absolutely perfect. It does have the miniscule flaws along the edge of the blade. I can feel the rough bits on it that could be smoothed down. It doesn't affect anything, so I don't really mind it. It doesn't tug or snag on my hair, so I don't worry about it. Definitely recommend this for a hair accessorie.

This item is a letter opener in the shape of a 7 3/4 inch dagger. As a letter opener should be, it is not sharp, but is effective in slicing open envelopes.
