Setup was user friendly
The setup was user friendly. In about fifteen minutes I had it operational in my ram 1500. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive however I wish I have a detail manual, I’m a little old school. Overall, the apps worked great. The overall performance was great as well.

Wireless Carplay is flawless. To connect to iPhone hotspot, hotspot settings page must be showing
This device allows you to use wireless Carplay in your car equipped with wired Carplay, and also allows your passenger to watch YouTube, Netflix, and media stored on an external USB flash drive.I tested this device in my 2017 VW GTI, using my iPhone SE 2020. After following the instruction guide included in the box, an Android startup screen appears. From this screen, you can touch the green CarPlay button to connect to your iPhone by Bluetooth. The first time you do this, you must pair the device with your iPhone in your iPhone's Bluetooth settings page. After that, pressing the Carplay button will automatically connect to your iPhone. If you wish, you can opt to connect automatically straight to Carplay upon startup. To turn this off (if you want to access the internet for Netflix or YouTube for example), you will need to start up the Carplay app with your phone's Bluetooth turned off. While the app is searching for your iPhone, you can change the setting back to prevent auto startup. Wireless Carplay works flawlessly. A problem I have with the GPS in my car's wired Carplay randomly going silent, however, was not solved by using this device. After booting the device, from the Android screen, you can go to Settings and connect to the iPhone's hotspot if you wish to access the Android apps such as YouTube and NetFlix. The problem with this is that the device wouldn't connect to the hotspot unless my iPhone was displaying the hotspot settings screen. Once set up, the device upon next boot will connect automatically to your iPhone - but again, only if the hotspot settings screen is displaying. A much more expensive Ottocast device behaved identically, so I wonder if it is an issue with Play2Video devices in generalOnce connected to the iPhone's hotspot, the Netflix and YouTube apps work according to the strength of the iPhone's cellular connection. This is useful while waiting for a spouse outside a store, or for the passenger to watch video (while you listen - please do NOT watch while driving.)I'd give this device 5/5 stars for the Wireless Carplay performance. It loses a star for the Android apps such as Netflix and Youtube, though, because of the inconvenience of having to have the iPhone's hotspot page open to connect. The Android Auto 3-in-1 Adapter resembles some much more expensive brand-name Play2Video devices. I'd recommend picking this one up sooner than later, if you want to save money. The one consideration is warranty and after service support - although this comes with a 12 month warranty, the only way to contact the seller seems to be through Amazon. If you are not comfortable with modern tech, you may benefit from the support (for example: facebook presence, an iPhone support app, email support, etc) that some brand name devices may offer.

Works great
This adapter was really easy to set up and works great. This allowed me to hook up my Android device wirelessly and the audio quality is the same as when I used the device wired. The box is small enough to hide in my car and creates a really nice look with no wires. I would recommend this.

Works well until it doesn't
It worked great for like 3 days. Then when using android auto maps would freeze randomly and unplugging wouldn't fix it.
