This micropore stamp pad was used for a special postal cancellation entitled Papermaking Station. Ticonderoga Heritage Museum unveiled a new papermaking exhibit celebrating 50 years of papermaking at International Paper Company's new mill location. Both Ticonderoga Stamp Club and the Heritage Museum requested this special pictorial cancellation featuring the 1888 building , now housing the museum, but original to Ticonderoga Pulp and Paper Co.The micropore stamp pad enables a superior, clean hand cancellation to be made.

I purchased this stamp pad along with a stamp from simonstamp.com, and was very pleased with the end result. It works great for stamping on blank moleskines, muslin bags, and even kraft papers as it leaves a vintage look on those substrates. Works better than a regular stamp pad as it's the micropore version with greater density, providing more detail for logos, brandmarks, etc. Would definitely recommend, although it is a very dense ink, so it makes it a bit more difficult to completely clean a stamp after use.

the advantage is you don't have to put ink on this one work's perfect

Maybe this ink pad is specific for certain applications, but it did not work at all for me. The stamp pad itself was concave, so I had to press really hard to get the whole stamp inked, making the outside edges have more ink than the inside. I stamped standard paper and at first it looked fine, but then the ink all bled together making the text no longer legible.

The ink on this pad is high quality, but unfortunately it is curved, which makes it difficult to use. I ended up having to purchase a cheaper ink pad to replace it.
