Good book for very basic learning. It has introduction to each pawn .

Good handy book for teaching fundamentals. Content is very focused and no material puzzles or exercises. A good first book, but not useful if you already know chess and key basics. Not necessarily engaging for really young kids, but good for 8+. Quality of book and pages itself is very good.

Multiple puzzles for every characters, good start for children, Obviously parent have to make them understand, if ur child is 6.

In classic DK style, this book is loaded with great pictures as well as great information on the basics and history of chess

The book has amazing print, well-built quality and attractive imagery which will be liked by children. However, the content is very basic and offers nothing exceptional. It only talks about basic moves and few attacking & defence strategies.

Easy to follow, with small chess challenges and lots of pictures. My 5 year old girl absolutely loved it.

Quick read that will explain the rules in very simple terms. Book is large, with beautiful illustrations and practice examples to help solidify concepts of the game.

Purchased for my 7yr old grandson, I've learned a lot, and he can beat me (I was no competitive player). It's a really great starting point, and east to understand for all ages!
