Homemade candles are great, but this stuff allows an extra layer of uniqueness. It has the texture of soft gelatin. You can scent it like regular was, but it's so transparent you can put stuff into it. This can be paired with a wax melting tool like a hot lamp or one of those teensy crock pots used for burning scented wax (I use a hot glue pot). You can take things like dried flowers (as in the ad) or pretty much anything else you can preserve and put it into the candle, and it's visible. I like to make things that look like money but aren't. I get to watch my friends try to figure out how to get a $100 bill out of a candle when it's rolled around the wick. I'm evil. But anyway, this wax is great. I got it just to start making candles, but hadn't considered what clear wax could be used for. It's harder to get the bubbles out of it, but it burns longer than other wax types. so it's quite worth it.
