Bumper cars
These are really nice cars. My grandson and I have a blast playing with them. I even bought a set for my house so when he comes over we can play it here.

Screeching sound when turning
My 8-year-old loves this toy. It drives really smooth and is a lot of fun, but it makes a terrible screeching sound when you turn left or right. Remote control is easy to use, but the sound makes me want to pull my hair out.

Christmas gift
Very nice toy that really was one of the best gifts for my toddlers. Cars are bit bigger, nice sound, nice lights and super fun with the bumpers. When driven into it makes the little driver jump out!Rechargeable battery included. Top gift! Don’t doubt! Value for money!

These are so fun!
I got these for my boys for Christmas - it was predominantly for the older one (8), but the remote control seemed simplistic enough for his younger brother (2) to join in on the fun. It is a BLAST! I'm not usually into playing with my kids' toys (I do it, but it's not my favorite thing), but my son and I got into battling with these guys and I lost track of time I was having such a good time.I love that you can turn the music/sound effects on or off, but it still gives you a silly "uh oh" when your driver gets ejected. The remote is pretty easy to master (one side is forward/backward, and the other turns). They have rechargeable batteries for the car piece (controller is standard AAs), but you can ALSO use normal batteries for the car if you lose or break the rechargeable one, which is great because we have a tendency to lose chargers. If you play with these outside or on less smooth ground, your guy MAY fall out occasionally without being bumped (much to the frustration of my son), and the wheels sometimes get locked up when they pickup hair or other debris but it's pretty easy to resolve.

get the sharper image version instead
In the past we have had the Shaper Image version of this product. That version takes 4 batteries for the car and two for the remote; meanwhile, this one takes two for the remote and has one rechargeable battery in the car. When you buy these, you will need to open the car battery to connect it (you'll see where it clips to the wires). I don't know why they don't have it connected when you purchase it but would guess that it drains the battery... The rechargeable battery doesn't last long and the kids can play with it for maybe an hour or so before it needs another charge. The first time we tried to open the battery compartment of the car, the screw was so tight I was hurting my hand trying to unscrew it and it was just stripping the screw! Even my husband couldn't get it open. Finally, I tried pushing on the battery compartment and heard a little 'click' then I was able to unscrew it. The rechargeable battery fits awkwardly into the battery compartment, especially when plugged in. The design looks like it was meant for three disposable batteries and then they changed their mind and used a rechargeable one as an after thought? The design is bad. We could not even get the second car battery compartment open, but fortunately our contractor friend had the tools to get it open for us!The charger cables are so short that you have to plug these into your computer; otherwise they would dangle from the wall and the weight of the car would unplug the charger cable. The other issue is that the cars are very loud! Lots of loud sound effects and noises and songs. Definitely can't let your kid play this while you are working from home or trying to have a conversation with someone in the same room.Other than that, these are really fun cars! I would recommend the sharper image version, though. Better off going through lots of batteries than dealing with this thing.

2 Pack Remote Control Car Set for Kids with Lights & Sound
With these two RC cars, two people can race and play bumper car battle at the same time. These cars have lights and sound effect that kids like. You need your own batteries for the remote controls. The cars use rechargeable batteries that unfortunately you will have to take it out from the car each time for charging. (It would have been better a design if you did not have to take out the battery to charge.)I ran into a quality check issue since only one of the cars worked out of the box. It turns out that the second car had loose cable inside, I had to dismantle the parts to open it up and put the cable back into the spot. It was a hassle, but I was able to fix it and the second car work after that.
