Great entry point for the aspiring audiophile.
I am relatively new to vinyl collecting. I did a lot of research before deciding on this specific model. I chose this model because it is the happy medium between quality and convenience. As you get into more expensive turntables, you get higher quality parts like adjustable counterweights for dialing in the arm pressure, upgradable cartridges, etc, but you lose features like automation. A lot of more expensive turntables don't even automatically stop when the record is done. I know myself well enough to know I would not be observant enough to be ready manually raise the arm the moment the record is done. This one is fully automatic and sounds great. The stylus itself can be replaced but not the cartridge that holds the stylus. This cartridge is built in, but is a high quality. Another reason I went with this model is that it has RCA jacks, not built in cables, so you can use quality rca cables. It also has a proper grounding screw to ground it to your amp or preamp to eliminate noise. It also has a built in preamp that you can turn off if you are running it into an amp that has a built in preamp (it has dedicated phono jacks) or you are running an external preamp or you can turn the built in preamp on if you are running it straight into powered speakers that don't have a preamp. Anyway, if you are just getting started on researching turntables and are looking for the middle ground between quality and convenience, this is the one for you.

The Turntable We Seek ⭐
Audio Technica AT - LP70X Turntable is a really nice one!It was easy to put together in assembly that is the platter and the belt around the brass head motor. This phono graph is really worth it as it runs smoothly too and I like the part that lifts off the tonearm off the record near the base. I also like the start button - one push and your set for one side of the LP! I use the phono line w/ground to my receiver. It doesn't have Bluetooth Capabilities in it.The player 'built in amp' needs a sincere boost, I have turn up my receiver near the mark of 35 to have decent sound from the turntable. The player works great as far with the 33-1/3 rd speed so far. The cover sits really nice on the player. The like the bronze tone color. There's a switch on the back with two nice RCA jacks with the AC Adapter connector too that adapter is included with the product.Right now I am playing my turntable and trying to decipher which is better LP or CD audio output?! The player runs nice a quiet with no rumble so far. It's a very nice player. I am not disappointed! It is recommended.

Beautiful in black and bronze
Just turned 70 and got tired of having to get up to start then stop my audiophile type turntable. Solution, why not try a fully automatic turntable for a change but which one. I did not like the styles of the existing automatic turntable until I saw a review of the Audio Technica AT-LP70-BZ on a Youtube channel. It looked okay but how would it sound. I decided to take a chance and find out for myself, to my surprise the AT-LP70 looks beautiful in black and bronze and it sounds really good with the Blue conical stylus. I have ordered the black elliptical AT stylus to finish the set up for now. I am very pleased with this turntable it makes listening to my albums fun again like it should be, simple and relaxing.

Solid player for playing your records with the whole family
It doesn't have a ton of features, but it doesn't need them. This table plays all my records wonderfully. It's easy to use and very solid. I had no issues connecting a pair of studio monitors directly to it so we can play records in the living room without a large setup. The lifting lever makes it so even my kids can start a record without damaging the needle.

Listen to reviews
Listen to the reviews. Yes it is beautiful and somewhat affordable. But, it will start skipping and there is no way to adjust the arm. Amazon was kind and let me return it, but wasn’t worth it. Get one of these with the tonearm, or, a different brand all together. We got a fluance and (although more expensive) has been amazing.

Excellent starter turntable with no real upgrade path, built-in phono preamp.
Lots of solid tech, built in phono preamp, tracking &c set at factory.(I'm a professional audio engineer)The good: rock solid, silent motor. No noise, no hum, no whine no nothing. This is no small thing!Ingenious cue damping, and automatic works well.Simple, elegant design. Looks sharp. Lid locks and works well.Tonearm tracks perfectly out of the box.Decent if vanilla cartridgeThe bad: no way to use a nice cartridge, which is too bad considering how great everything else isStock stylus is only OK, a little bright, a little reedy. Slightly woolly bass.No place to store 45 adapterMatt was not perfectly round....no real biggie

Still plays, tonearm doesnt engage right
So i used this turntable for a couple of weeks and the automatic tone arm started hesitating to engage. Apparently its not getting fully seated when it goes back to its holder. Thankfully, it still tracks fine and doesnt skip on records that are fine.Other than that this turntable is easy to set up, sounds pretty decent, and still plays recordsjust fine. With the tonearm issue, I just push it down a little bit before it queues, and that seems to work.I like that the tone arm is setup up factory. Granted, I have only a few options to settle on for the needle, but I've settled with the green needle that doesnt break the bank. It sounds well enough that an equalizer can smooth it out. I do use an equalizer between the turntable/preamp and my powered speakers. It sounds wonderful! This turntable has a raw sound just with the turntable with no equalizer. Its still appealing with a great deal of warmth, but im just a snob is all. There's been little problems aside from the tonearm quirk. Automaticturntables are prone to problems queuing throughout their history. If you would like to smooth out your vinyl sound between the preamp and the powered speakers/receiver, you can purchase a Behringer MiniFBQ FBQ800 equalizer from music stores or at that one site that starts with an E. They're pretty cheap, and will be a far more cheaper option than playing guessing games with pricier phono preamps. Just Google it.
