Cute, well designed magnetic tiles! But come with a strong odor
So fun! Whether or not you are a fan of the video game - these are cute, well designed magnetic tiles! They work well to portray the game or just as well to build brick castles (the reverse sides are plain so you have options if the odd tiles are not your thing). If you are a fan of the video game then you will enjoy these all the more. The kids really like having the two characters to play with too - they are flat like the tiles and are also magnetic. The magnets are strong and the tiles hold together well - still they are magnetic tiles and one tile falling will attract the another and you will have a flat castle in no time. So part of the learning with magnetic tiles is all of what goes in to building and handling your frustration when they all collapse. The faults I find with this set if that they show tiles on the back of the box that are not included in the set (castle parapets) which is labelled a basic build so it seems kids might try to build that first and be confused or disappointed. This build is not shown on the included idea book. The other faults is that his particular set has more of an odor than any I have received before (we have a pretty large collection as a lot were given to us). In any case, you might leave time to air them out before giving them to the kids (reason for only 4 stars). FYI - there is a magnetic tile set that includes 2 brother figures that would go with this set well. Curiously, the rest of that set are regular colored magnetic tiles and do not have this theme.

Great extension/add on set of specialty pieces for the classroom
Soyee 32 pc. castle "video game style" magnetic tiles are nice. I have been a Pre-K teacher for over 10 years and have a massive collection of magnetic tiles including over 80 sets purchased on Amazon alone. Let's look at some of the attributes of this set. First let's cover some of the basics. These tiles are standard size and will meld flawlessly with your existing collection. This set includes 32 pieces and most of them are the most used and useful shape, the square. Very nice! EVERY piece is a specialty piece here. This is not a set where there are few printed tiles and lots of plain Jane, run of the mill, regular tiles. This is a FULL set of specialty printed pieces. Double bonus! If you've ever played Mario as a child, these will bring back some nostalgic memories. Let's briefly look at thickness of tiles. In the above photos you will see three stacks of 7 tiles. On the left are MagnaTiles Stardust set, on the right are Picasso Tiles and the middle stack are these Soyee castle/video game tiles. As you can see, the thickness of these falls between those two name brands as expected. Almost 100% of all sets fall here and these are standard thickness. Let's check out aesthetics. These pieces are so unique. This is the first video game themed set I have seen and I love these. The majority of the pieces are printed on one side only which leaves students free to turn them backwards if they want just a plain brown square, for instance. These are the first brown squares in my collection as well. The people are printed double sided as shown in the photo. I also like that there is one arched doorway that figures can actually pass through which will make the video game play pretty realistic. Let's look at magnetism. To test magnetism I dangle a line of squares off a single square to see how many it will hold. All my 80+ sets hold anywhere from a very weak 4 tiles to a snappy 8 tiles long. The vast majority hold 6-7 tiles and I consider that average. This set holds a 6 tile long row and is average to slightly below average in the magnetism department. These tiles will hold together well. The people (though I can't see through them like typical magnetic tiles) I believe will have a single small silver barrel magnet in each foot. They will stand fairly well on a magnetic surface and will just barely hold their own weight on a side surface. That is typical. They are only magnetic on the bottom of their feet. Magnetic tiles are one of the best Pre-K learning toys in my opinion. These toys are so open-ended fostering STEM learning and creativity. This type toy is one of the few that stay out on the shelf in the classroom from September till June. They never lose their appeal or learning and play value. Add some animals, matchbox cars, trees, rocks and people and watch a whole new realm of creative play unfold. Love this great, unique add on set of pieces. Ages 3+

Easy To Use
Where were magnetic tiles when I was a kid? I love how easy these are to use. They're perfect for children developing their fine motor skills, who can successfully create interesting pieces with the tiles without the challenges present in some building toys. Plus, these are great for adults who want to make miniature displays.

is AVERAGE.
I recently ordered the Magnetic Tiles Toddler Kids Toys Doll House Castle Building Toys for my 4-year-old, and overall, it's a decent product. The tiles are colorful and easy to connect, which makes building different structures fun and engaging for my child. It’s a great tool for developing creativity and fine motor skills. However, there are a few drawbacks. The magnets aren't as strong as I hoped, causing some structures to collapse easily, which can be frustrating for my little one. Additionally, the set could benefit from more variety in shapes to enhance the building possibilities. In summary, while the toy is enjoyable and educational, it does have some limitations in terms of durability and variety. It's a good addition to our collection, but there's room for improvement.

Cute
This is a really cute magnet set that is in the form of kind of a mario theme, although not technically mario because I'm sure they don't want to be in trouble. Anyway, the blocks and stuff magnetize well so there's no problems with that and it's a big enough set for my kids to do a bunch of creative stuff with them. They set up castles or whatever and they just have a good time with the blocks and the little figures that it comes with. Just a fun little toy for them to pass the time with!
