As a photographer of 22 years, this light exceeds all expectations for performance and value. The array of controls available from RGB color options to infinite temperature options from 3000k-6000k beats any other competitor's ability, particularly at such a low price point. App controls make in-scebe adjustments quick and easy. The Bowens mount allows me to use any compatible modifier in my arsenal. I own Profoto, Wescott, Godox, and Flashpoint models, and this is my go-to for in-studio constant lighting. Great option for streamers who want to elevate their visual quality and content creators looking to up their game as well.

I thought it was going to be confused on how to use it but it was much simpler than I thought and I got great results. I have a small home studio and the 200W was bright and effective. The unit has some weight to it but its not overly cumbersome.

I've been using Neewer LEDs for a few years now and been happy with them. The CB200C is a great step up in build quality from earlier lights. It's solid, holds great even with large soft boxes or heavy modifiers attached. Controls are good and the app works slick.

I just got this thing so I can't speak for longevity, but so far this light is pretty good. I got this for 3d scanning in full color. Full rgb is insanely bright, as well as the white light. I like the adjustable tint in cct mode. Loaded with tons of different lighting effects. Very easy to use, and no need for color filters. A light this bright would be great in an automotive shop also!

No other brand can beat this price. Love the performance! Purchased it knowing it would be overkill for my studio setup, but if you are also concerned about light sources heating up your room, you should do what I did and go for a much stronger light

This light is fantastic. Most colors in the rgb mode are perfect, except for red. Red looks pink and the camera's pick it up as pink. Which is unfortunate as I bought this light for the color temp range and also rgb. Color temps are fantastic. Can look very warm and quite cool.

We are huge fans of NEEWER products having a significant collection because they have midrange affordability for a higher end product that is an excellent option for both beginners and professionals. This light in particular (CB 200C) caught my attention because of its RGB options. We absolutely needed this in our lives. This has been significantly helpful for my wife’s content creation videos to promote her artwork, adding a beautiful ambient array of colours as a backdrop behind her. What is awesome is she can set it to her branding colours for her store as well. We use the lighting for our website thumbnails for product shots. Our kids who are at the age of wanting to create content, have also had a lot of fun with the array of special effects! ✅WHAT WE LIKE: ▪️This light has all of the features the other lights have and then some because of the RGB options. If you want a light that has it all, this is the one to get. ▪️The app took 2 seconds to link the new light. ▪️The light goes up to 7500 kelvins. The lowest setting, 2500k, is beautiful. It resembles a golden sunset. ▪️Nice array of special effects. My wife particularly loves the hue loop where it transitions through all of the colours. You can slow it down or speed it up. There are 16 other nice effects to choose from and I quickly go over them in my video. ▪️The power cord is nice and long. ▪️The design is sleek and modern with a black mental colour. The texture is quite appealing. ▪️Robust and heavy duty. You’ll need a sturdy tripod to hold up these types of lights. It’s not worth cheaping out on that. These lights deserve a proper stand and I recommend Neewers tripods because they are meant for their products and built to last. ▪️We like that it came with a diffuser that stretches over the reflective shade. It’s a small, yet effective inclusion even though it is likely inexpensive to add on. You can choose to upgrade to an umbrella because the shade has a supporting hole and tightening knob to support one. ▪️Similar to other NEEWER lights, this model also has a super quiet fan which is incredibly important while filming. The LEDs do get quite hot though, so it is nice that you can choose to increase the fan speed or put it into auto mode. When the fan is high, you can hear it a little bit but the sound isn’t overpowering. Again, if you’re filming, you have the option to turn it down. ❌WHAT WE DON’T LIKE: ▪️At $460, the light isn’t inexpensive by any means, and a lot of folks may struggle to save up to buy a nice piece of equipment like this. When considering the price, it should have come with a case similar to my other sets of NEEWER lights. I’m not sure why some come with a case while others do not, but my experience with these lights are a bit inconsistent. Whatever you do, don’t throw away the foam inserts or box if you want to store or transport it. On the plus side, the box has a built in handle, but at some point you’ll want to invest in a proper case because it will wear down quickly. All of these little things add up and when you purchase a proper stand, you’re looking at even more costs you many not have considered. ▪️As much as we love the app, we wish it came with a remote. We are not fans of connecting apps to our devices due to the data collection they all tend to help themselves to. These apps should be paying me a monthly subscription fee for my personal info. Just say’n. 🦋OVERALL: Despite some things that were not included, the light itself is truly awesome. It is our favourite out of the others that we own due to the versatility. Neewer is such a fantastic reliable brand, I have to recommend it for their other products too that we have purchased over the years or people have bought for my wife because she always has some NEEWER product on her birthday wish list. The quality has made a lasting impression on us both and this light in particular is at the top. We have never experienced an issue with their lighting systems and they harmoniously link together with ease.

I recently tested the NEEWER CB200C 200W RGBWW COB LED Video Light for my studio, and I'm really happy with it! Here's what I think: Brightness and Color: This light is super bright! It can light up my whole studio easily. You can change the colors in so many ways. You can make it warm or cool, or pick from tons of other colors. Few months ago, I tested and reviewed another model of NEEWER video light series, the CB200. I was very satisfied with it's performance so I decided to get the CB200C which is practically the same light with RGB capabilities. Similar to the CB200, NEEWER CB200C build quality feels robust with a solid aluminum housing. It's bulkier than comparable models though. Almost twice the size of Amaran COB 200x. Its weight is also 0.3kg more than CB200. It has a Bowen's mount, which is practical for most videographers due to Bowen's compatibility with a variety of modifiers. The mount is solid and had no issues with handling the weight of my 36 inch softbox. The carry handle on the unit makes transporting it better, particularly for on-location shoots. Now the difference between the CB200 and CB200C, besides the RGB capabilities, is the absence of the BOOSTER mode available on CB200, which delivers an extra 10W of power. This is a very subtle difference in output that can be unnoticeable. This also means less noise from activating the cooling fan on the CB200. With a 5600K daylight temperature and a CRI/TLCI rating of 97+, the CB200C has excellent color fidelity. Skin tones looked natural, and product colors were rendered accurately under this light. I tested the CB200C alongside another high-CRI fixture and found no noticeable color shifts. The PWM dimming from 0-100% in 1% increments was smooth and precise. CB200C has an RGBWW which, compared to RGB, adds white LEDs to the RGB mix, allowing for a wider color gamut and more accurate color reproduction, particularly in the warm white range. The CB200C has a whooping 17 built-in effects, are for those that need to creative cinematic touch. I don't normally use these effects on any of my lights. They are more situational and may not see regular use in professional settings. The NEEWER App adds significant convenience for wireless control. Especially when running more than one light or need multiple lighting scenarios for different scenes. I tested the app within the 15-meter range, and it worked without any issues. To take full advantage of the app, you need to use a Neewer eco system of lights so that you can sync them with each other. It tested it with 3 other lights from Neewer, including the bicolor CB200, and was able to sync the lights. Indeed, it worked and is a standout for multi-light setups. The cooling system effectively prevented overheating even during extended shoots. It was noticeable that the fan noise was less than CB200's. While it's not completely silent, I didn't find it distracting. I like that you can control the fan mode and adjust for a quieter setup. This is very useful when shooting interviews, although not a silver bullet for fan noise. However, this light isn't the Jack of all trades, and it can certainly benefit from some improvements: Include a Remote Control: While the app is convenient, an included physical remote would offer added flexibility, especially in environments where using a smartphone isn't practical. Enhanced Build Details: Rubberized edges or protective elements could make the CB200C more durable for frequent transport. Overall, the NEEWER CB200C is an excellent and versatile video light. It's every bright, has accurate color reproduction, and convenient app control. It’s an excellent choice for studio and controlled environments.
