The new pair works flawlessly, with the alarm now beeping as expected, which provides an added level of safety during electrical work. Over the past few months, these pliers have performed consistently well. They strip, cut, and pull wires with ease, and the build quality is solid. The volt detector isn’t as strong as I thought sometimes goes off for no reason The cutter and strippers are nice and sharp but the wire twister is sort of clumsy

Made Out To Be An Amazing Product But I Will Completely Disagree. From The Monent I Pulled It Out Of Its Cheap Packaging, & Put My Hands Around The Handles It Was Lighting Up Green & I Was No Where Near Metal, Electric, Etc. This Product Give False Positives Most Of The Times. Some Of The Features Are Good Like The Cutting Blades, The Grip Of The Handles, The Look Of It, But Not Enough To Ever Purchase Again Or To Recommend.

My husband saw a tool just like this on TikTok, but it was way more expensive and had a delivery date that felt like it was scheduled for the next geological era. I found this LAOA 8-in-1 Rechargeable Electrician Pliers instead, and I’m happy to report it did not disappoint. It was exactly what he was looking for and arrived in time for his birthday (which already makes it a win). The voltage tester works well, the non-contact detection is super handy, and having multiple functions in one tool is really convenient. He’s used it for electrical work and general projects, and it feels solid and well made. USB-C charging is a nice bonus, and overall it does everything the more expensive version claimed to do, without the ridiculous wait or price tag. If you’re looking for a versatile electrical tool or a great gift, this is absolutely worth it.

The voltage detection really works. Comes with button cells already installed. There is a contact on one handle meant to contact your hand when you hold it – I guess your body acts like a capacitive ground. Then when you hold the tip near neutral wires the light inside the handle glows green. If you touch it to a hot terminal, it glows red and a buzzer sounds. It cuts and strips just fine, and the needle nose works to curve wires for terminal screws. I haven’t yet needed the splitter, crimper, or jacket stripper, but have no doubt they will be useful someday. The tool came with a tiny screwdriver to change the batteries, an extra jacket stripper blade, and an Allen wrench to set the depth of the blade — evidence that the manufacturer truly intends the tool to be used, not a throwaway item. The only improvement I could suggest would be to include an instruction booklet. There is a tiny paragraph about the power detection on the back cardboard, but it is hard to miss and pretty vague, so I had to infer how it works, just by using it. Similarly detailing each of the functions with a picture and best practice would have been helpful. But it’s clearly designed for people who understand these things in advance.
