The temperature setting not in the best place but they were easy to use and with the amout of hair I have that's no mean feat I have alot ,

Nasty, dreadful, do not buy
Very poor quality. Flimsy. Gets extremely hot and almost unbearable to hold. Burns the hair. Unfortunately I didn’t keep the packaging otherwise I would definitely return the item. Instead I’m throwing it in the bin before damage is done.

The crimpers are lovely but no good for fine hair .

Better than my vintage ones
I have a pair of crimpers which I have had since the 1980’s, and while I couldn’t bear to part with them for nostalgic reasons, I couldn’t wait to try out some more modern ones. These are nice and sturdy and much more lightweight than my old ones. While my old pair only had one heat setting, I was excited that these had 5 different ones. Unfortunately, the control is placed on the inside and is quite difficult to see and use. However, once I had these set, they were easy to use and made some nice crimps in my hair. It’s not a styling tool that I would use every day, but for under £20 it gives a different option for fashioning and will come into its own when we are in our 1980s fancy dress costumes.

Funky hair in minutes
I always liked crimped hair as a teenager back in the 80s...but I had to put it in lots of tiny plaits overnight, I never had the luxury of a crimping iron. This one is great - my hair is curly anyway so I can crimp the roots for volume, or do the whole lot if I want massive hair. I have found for me it works best on dry hair in between washes, once done and cooled down I run a tiny bob of oil through and job done!I always appreciate the safety off feature on these things so I don't have to nip home in my lunch hour and check I remembered to switch it off. Heats up in less than a minute too.

ok for odd occasions
These are pretty basic and I found them to crimp ok without giving me the wow factor. I'm not sure if they are hot a large enough to have the desired effect, that said, they tended to work ok using less hair, it just took alot longer.
