KershawSpoke Pocket Knife, 2" 4Cr14 Steel Blade with BlackWash Coatin, Compact Assisted-Opening EDC

This a good size for micro or small edc carry. The ease of opening is ok at best (a little too stiff and needs adjustment). It’s decent quality and good for opening boxes or making precision cuts. The appearance, the black coating will wear off with use. Not extremely versatile given the size and could be smoother to handle with a different clip.

Little stiff brand new but once used a little bit opening becomes easier. Was a little skeptical on the size but hands down for the price one of the best knives I've ever had for day to day practical use. Cut through four ply crusher belt with ease as I use it daily in a quarry. Lost my first one which was used and abused and immediately ordered a new one. For the price and durability this will be my go to edc knife.

I really like these small ~2" Kershaw knives... probably my favorite form factor for a blade that I'll keep on me as an everyday carry kind of knife. Sure, I'd rather have a big knife for self-defense, but I sure as heck am going to avoid that kind of situation, period. I look at these EDCs as everyday use, not "I'm going to chop someone's arm off today". In terms of something I'd keep in my pocket on an everyday basis? The smaller knives are just more my speed.The Spoke is a hefty chonk compared to the Chive and the Ember. The Kershaw Chive is sleek and almost like a piece of art, in addition to being made in America (which is a huge plus). The Kershaw Ember is slightly thicker, but less expensive due to being made in China. The Spoke is almost twice as thick (or "thicc") as my Chive, despite having the approximate same blade length.The steel that locks the blade in place on the Spoke isn't quite as impressive as the thicker frame lock on the Ember or the Chive. It's also that style of frame lock on the other 2 knives that make them more slim compared to the Spoke.The biggest plus for the Kershaw Spoke is that it's cheaper compared to the other 2. And that might make it the one that I carry the most, having ditched one of my knives at the airport checkpoint when I forgot that I had it in my pocket. If I'm on the road, I want something decently reliable that I don't care about forgetting in my hotel room or ditching at the security checkpoint.At home? I'd rather have the Ember in my pocket for most of the knife work around the house. Opening boxes, cutting twine, that kind of thing.For the collection? The made in America Kershaw Chive. The nicest one that I use the least, LOL.So, IMO, the travel buddy is probably going to be the Spoke... and that might make it the one I everyday carry the most. However, the Kershaw Ember is still my favorite out of the 3 Kershaw knives I have in this blade length, and that might make it the one that I have with me the most.I can recommend this if you want cheap, but I favor the Ember more than the Spoke... and to support American workers, the Chive is a beautiful little guy that's worth having.

LOVE THIS KNIFE!! Extremely high quality, easy to use, holds an edge really well. I was heart-broken when the TSA took mine (it was hidden in a compartment and I didn't realize it was there) - but since it was on Amazon and an excellent value, I was able to replace it for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this knife.

It’s the perfect size to fit in the little 5th pocket of your jeans. The clip takes awhile to get used to because IMO it’s upside down. I’d prefer the knife be in a position to be opened immediately when removing from your pocket but instead you have to re-orient it first. It’s also deceptively heavy for its small size. At one point I had ordered another Kershaw that was very lightweight but it was a little too big for that small pocket so I went back to this one.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Definitely not an assisted opener.

I wanted a knife that would fit in the fifth pocket of my jeans (on the right, inside the main front pocket). I like the assist opener and the quality of the metal blade. It sharpens great and holds an edge. I used it all the time around my farm.

Nice little knives, bought 7 as gifts for guys at work had them custom lasered with their names. Most used gift I probably ever purchased. Biggest regret not getting one for myself.
